Howdy folks!
So I have a Halfling Ranger I'm working out some details of, and there's one thing that would make my little heart happy: the ability to Reduce her size reliably. Currently, the best plan I've got is Potions, but at 50gp a pop that's... well, there are probably more cost-effective ways long-term.
Thoughts?
EDIT: This is for PFS, which is very important but I forgot to mention.

Adding a 1st level spell to a ring (50 charges) would cost 750 gp. I think that would require a UMD check. Adding a command word to activate it without a check would cost 1,800 gp. That's the best way that I can think of... 1,800 gp for 50 uses. That costs less overall than 50 potions, and weighs much less.

Best idea I've got at the moment is Sipping Jacket. I'd still need to buy the potion, but I wouldn't waste rounds. That wouldn't be viable until I got enough fame for 5000gp purchase, but that's not too bad!
dont think sipping jacket works with potion of reduce person. Reduce person is minute/level and jacket only accepts instantaneous or rounds/level durations.

Oooh, that's... rough. Uh-oh.

The only ways that I know of take too much investment compared to just buying a [750gp] Wand of Reduce Person. However, for the sake of completion (and the off-chance of being useful for an eventually mid- to high-level Character) :
* [10 000gp] Spelunker's Mail - 10/day [1] Reduce Person for 1 min., (requires a Command Word/Standard Action). This would take 667 uses to begin being more inexpensive than a Wand, yet also provides a +4 Armour Bonus to A.C. and +5 Competence Bonus to Escape Artist checks, (+1 Slick Chain Shirt).
* [24 000gp] Ioun Stone, Silver Spindle - 3/day (Sp) of a 1st-Level Spell from Cleric, Druid or Sorcerer/Wizard Spell List (Reduce Person).
* Int 13 > [Feat] Psychic Sensitivity > [Feat] Psychic Adept > [Feat] Psychic Disciple - 2/day Psychic 1st-Level Spell (Reduce Person).

Thank you much, Ben!
The reason I'm not quite as much about the Wand is that it's gonna be a long time before I can cast that with any regularity on myself, and I don't want to force any caster in my party to spend the first full round of any combat on making me happy. (That said, for out-of-combat or "we know combat is coming soon" scenarios, it works. Probably gonna throw 2PP at it!)
Current low-level solution is to have a weapon in one hand and a potion in the other. Drinking potion is a Standard, so I can drink it, move into position, and then get to work proper on Turn 2.
I was looking at the Archives and only found the Spelunker's Mail (which is... pretty appealing, actually-- that's plenty of Reduce Person for any purpose I could possibly need it). It'll be a while before it's affordable with PFS Fame requirements, but once it is, it's extremely valid.
The Ioun Stone seems... expensive, for what it is. Definitely could be useful for some spells/builds, though.
The Psychic chain is an interesting option (and gives me a few things along the way)! I'll keep it in mind regardless.
Thank y'all very much. c:

A potion of reduce person is 50 gp. Regular PFS scenarios go up to level 11 and give you 3 xp per level. Meaning that if you chug on average 3 potions of reduce person per scenario you're only chugging 99 potions throughout your entire (normal) career. That's just 4950 gp spread out over 11 levels. Pretty cheap compared to some of the options listed here.
A fast way to chug one down is to take a spring loaded wrist sheath, swift action pull it out and standard action drink it. You can actually go faster if you worship Urgathoa- Pull out a potion as a move action, swift action drink it thanks to this feat and you still have your standard action. Better yet, just keep a potion in hand at all times- this makes it JUST a swift action. Two levels of Alchemist can get you vestigial arm which can be used for such a purpose, allowing you to always use your other two hands for your weapons, and you can hide the spare arm beneath your cloak when you want to.

The potion math is good to have, and “chug potions faster” is an interesting angle to go!
The extra limb thing is an interesting angle—and I’m planning on taking the Wilding feat, which grants me a tail, so I could take Grasping Tail or something in that ballpark! Get to keep my Ranger progression at the cost of just one feat I didn’t already plan on taking.
