so, im building a true neutral cleric with a true neutral deity. from what i understand, this means he doesn't have a strong aura, but still has the aura class feature, and therefore qualifies for sacred summons.
now, my question is what could he summon using sacred summons?
the wording of the feat might suggest that any creature without an alignment subtype would apply, but at the same time, nothing might apply as nothing has a neutral subtype...

This is one of the few cases where being neutral really doesn't help you.
Other than that you CAN get Summon Neutral Monster in its place to get an expanded list of Neutral creatures added to your Summon Monster list, some of which are pretty good, ranging from Sprites, Nixies, to Shae and Invisible Stalkers at higher level.
You're wrong. A cleric of a deity that isn't 'chaotic, evil, good or lawful' doesn't have a 'particularly powerful aura corresponding to the deity's alignment' as per the aura class feature. This is the only thing the aura class feature can give you, so without it you don't have the aura class feature.
Aura (Ex): A cleric of a chaotic, evil, good, or lawful deity has a particularly powerful aura corresponding to the deity's alignment (see the detect evil spell for details).
The aura class feature is mostly a downside to being a cleric, like a paladin’s code is a downside to that class. The neutral deity cleric gets its perks for free here and in being unlimited to what spells it can cast.
Chaotic, Evil, Good, and Lawful Spells: A cleric can't cast spells of an alignment opposed to her own or her deity's (if she has one). Spells associated with particular alignments are indicated by the chaotic, evil, good, and lawful descriptors in their spell descriptions.
Interesting. I had not realised that neutral clerics have significant advantages over others.
