Recommend PFS Scenario

Can you recommend a PFS scenario to run?

I'm going to be running a game at a local tournament for players new to Pathfinder. I'm thinking of using a PFS scenario with 4th level pregen characters (CRB classes only). I have a hard-stop-limit of 4 hours. Is there a scenario you'd recommend that can be easily completed in that time by new players. Something lightly challenging and entertaining.

Thanks!

The scenarios that are designed to introduce players to Pathfinder and PFS are all targeted at level 1-2. See The Confirmation, The Wounded Wisp, and The Consortium Compact. Replayable Scenarios
Or one of the Quest scenarios, which are made to be split into roughy 1-hour sessions: Free Products

If you're set on running 4th level characters, I'd go with a Season 3 scenario. If it's written for 1-5, possibly adjust the 4-5 tier to be a little easier. A 3-7 should take care of itself. 3-19, The Icebound Outpost might fit.

Good luck!

Posting on the PFS forums might get a few more answers.

8-06 Reaping What We Sow is very fast but has a lot of odd rules elements, it might detract from the new player experience.

#33 Assault on the Kingdom of the Impossible is a good introduction scenario that feels fresh but also meets fantasy expectations. However is has 6 encounters (half are simple), so you might want to cut one or two of them for a new group.

I second The Icebound Outpost, it has 4 encounters that are a little more complicated. Reasonable to complete in 4 hours.

If you consider level 1, the Confirmation is a nice linear dungeon run while the Consortium Compact does a great job of meshing roleplaying and mechanics.

Thank you for the suggestions Smallfoot.

The reason why I'm thinking of having the players run 4th level characters is because this is a one-shot game to introduce new players to the game. I feel 1st level characters are a bit one-sided with not a lot of options. Providing 4th level characters I would think provide these new players with a good taste of the different options available within their class, without being overwhelmed with too many options. It also helps prevents the vulnerability of 1st level characters because of a bad d20 roll.

you could use the adventure finder and sort by star count. Then time will be the test, I'd go for low page count.
Avg User Review yields(for 4th level, in descending order): 8-16, 7-05, 6-08, 4-19, 3-01, 3-21, 6-15, 6-18, ...

IMO 6-08 is too complex, 6-15 is cute but investigative and thus may run long, 6-18 is focused but icy conditions, 7-05 is cute and is probably a good match, 8-16 is in parts thus a good match. I'll add that 4-11 is good as the faction missions have been dropped simplifying it greatly AND it has a clear time limit (using M&Ms/skittles/jellybeans to represent total time and handing them to players as they use up their time can be a great tool).

i like this one. if they have fun and want more it is part of a 4 parter. not knowing the rules will help in they will play in the 3-4 tier
