Half-Elf Cleric FCB and variant channeling

Rules Questions

If you have the half-elf FCB to increase channel damage and use variant channeling, is the extra damage halfed, too?

Reading the data, I would say so. The formula would basically be:
(x+y)z
Where X is the base healing (3d6 or whatever), Y is your bonus (I assume it's supposed to be equal to how many AFC points you've got), and Z is your variant channeling modifier, so .5 when decreased, 1.5 when increased.

Yes.
All aspects of the channeled energy are modified.
Since a half-elf with the FCB would normally heal for 6d6+2, for example, it is now reduced to 3d6+1.
This is under the assumption that you need to take the FCB 3 times to add +1 rather than it modifies the amount by +1/3 each time you take it; in which case you would normally heal for 8d6, 6d6 + 1/3, but now heal for 4d6 when using the variant channeling.
In short the end result is modified.

Silver Crusade

Of course, you could be a Versatile Variant Channeler. Primarily channel positive energy to heal your allies. Variant channel negative, with a harmful effect, at reduced power halved. Put your bonus channeling power into your non-halved side.
