Two minutes ago I got the news--I've been cleared for knee surgery!
I'm cheering for someone to have foreign objects inserted into their body and have naturally occurring tissues removed and altered in an invasive (even if they're doing it with the robot, it's invasive, even if minimally) way.
I'm a f^(%!#& sociopath.
Good Luck Cal!

I trust stories more than possible claims of immortality. But that's just me.
Also, this is the start of the season between me and my Mom about "The grass isn't that LONG!" and "I can mow the lawn next week!" versus "I want it done NOW."
If you don't want to mow your lawn you can come mow mine. And mine really is that long.

Van,
No I just don't want to mow ANY lawns. I would pay for it (and I'll probably will) if only because I never understood the obsession people in my neighbor hood have with their lawns.
Also I agree with Cal, someone other than me mowing the lawn is a fine thing.
Limey,
I don't do scythes. I do occasionally do Wand of Orcus.

I want one. Or...if I'm willing to wait two more weeks...err...no...three more weeks I can have Zelda's son mow it for $20. Of course, it's tall enough that it will take a couple passes, so I'd pay him $40 for that.
But there's no way I can let it go for 3 more weekends. Will have to take a run at it tonight after work. This weekend was too busy with other stuff to give me time at the yard.

Oooh! I don't know if you're ancient enough to remember the 70s pop song "Wildfire" but I'm tinkering with a winter-themed adventure for when my players are high enough level to tackle what I have in mind. The song is about a woman who died in a blizzard looking for her lost horse, Wildfire. She comes down from the mountains and rides the plains and the singer believes one day she'll come for him. It's supposed to be a love song, but I see enough darkness in it to make it into a nice, horror flavored game.
A ghost with a siren song like ability that lures animals to her, and leads them off to die in the snow (she only comes out during snowstorms / blizzards) could be interesting. (She died trying to find her horse, and bringing the bones of the woman to bury with the bones of her horse will break her cycle and lay her to rest permanently?) For a party dependent on their animals, or with assorted familiars and / or animal companions and / or special mounts, they'd have to take her out to save their furry/feathered/scaly friends.

That's a great idea! In my secondary campaign, the party Monk just had a huge mastiff befriend her after finding it wounded in the wreck of a bandit-raided caravan. While there's not a game mechanic bond between them, they've become fast friends.

Sounds like a Yuki-Onna with a bard/ranger variant.

Dagnabbit. My son's village idiot roommate was about to be evicted by him on May 1st (yes, they both live here but that little bit of drama is between them. I don't get involved). But his complete stupidity, attitude, and lack of basic hygiene skills got him fired from his good paying job at a local restaurant. My son is fuming because now he feels guilty for throwing him out and will probably change his mind.
They've been here nearly a year and I haven't charged them any rent, just help with the utilities. I had told them on their anniversary mark since moving in I was going to have to start charging them but now it would all fall on my son. So I'M in a quandary. And stuck with Tweedle Dum for who knows how much longer.

I am going to exchange them for a one size step larger (XXL instead of XL) later today. They are fitting well... Until I start moving around when they are too tight, especially when doing things like picking things up, which I will be doing a lot in the next few days.
I prefer looser pants that don't restrain my mobility that much.
