So this idea came from my GM while working on some custom stuff for Metaforge. The main idea was that the Aegis had the ability to get heavy armor on (and use customizations for powers), and would try to stay at some range and be a scaredy cat almost. When hit in melee, he'd have something similiar to the Soulknife archetype Feral Heart's forced Claw Growth.
Anyways, that doesn't work because the Aegis sucks at actual spellcasting and the current character is working in a different direction. I was thinking of creating either a Rage Prophet with a blasting Oracle somehow or going the arcane route with Dragon Disciple or Eldritch Knight.
I'm not looking for actual rage, so Barbarian isn't a real requirement (except for Rage Prophet obviously). just a martial class that can swing a sword around (or claws) well enough. I wanted to avoid Magus, since I wanted a clear divide of Magic and Martial.

I cant help with any of the 3rd party stuff, but you could use a Bloodrager as the chassis for the martial side of your build, Primalist and Untouchable Rager would satisfy the "no spells" and the rage power requirements.
I'm not looking for 3rd party stuff, it just that this idea came out of it. The no spells doesn't have to be a mechanical thing, as it can easily be a self-imposed restriction.
Adaptive Shifter just seems like an amazing dip. Skald and Alchemist do work nicely, I was looking for full or near full spellcasting, but 6th level without multiclassing will probably work better.

Ragechemist archetype for Alchemist gives a nice way to embrace the "raging out" concept (additional bonus to strength and increased natural armor). Pairing it with Master Chymist makes for a cool build and incorporates the "start raging when hit" idea.

Bombs aren't too complicated thankfully, the base bomb goes against the touch AC of the creature you throw the bomb at, and does Xd6 + intelligence modifier.
Anyone within 5ft, take splash damage equal to the minimum damage if the bombs, with a reflex save to take half damage, so if we have a level 1 alchist, with an intelligence of 18, his bomb does 1d6+4 fire damage on a hit
Anyone within 5 ft takes 5 damage, or 2 if they pass a reflex save.
Of course point blank shot ups the damage by 1, this also effects the splash damage
Where bombs can seem complicated is there are a number of discoveries, and extracts (alcehimust spells) that change them
Targeted bomb admixture (extract)
No splash damage, but you add double your intelligence modifier to the bomb damage, so 1d6+8 no splash
Or explosive bomb (discovery)
Now your bomb does splash damage to anyone within 10ft, and the primary Target needs a reflex save, or be set on fire
There are also discoveries that can make your bomb s deal acid damage, cold damage, they can blind people, nausate people etc.
So long story short, they aren't too complicated, they just have a lot of customizable options :)
