Tomorrow on November 7th from 6–8 pm PST (I believe that's Nov 8, 02:00–04:00 UTC), Tonya Woldridge and I will be on the Know Direction podcast discussing the future of Pathfinder Society, such as the end of Season 10 and how the Second Edition campaign is shaping up. Although we'll no doubt highlight some information that we've also covered in blog, we also expect to cover new ground, dig down on some topics, and take questions.

We look forward to having you join us! You'll be able to watch us live on Twitch.

Oh, thanks for telling us! Will it be right after Starfinder Wednesday on Twitch?

Hmm

As I understand it, this will be hosted through Know Direction's Twitch channel, not Paizo's. However, Paizo's Wednesday events begin at 4 pm and don't typically last longer than 2 hours, so you should be able to tune into Paizo's Twitch channel earlier and still make it to the Know Direction program without trouble.

Has the 2nd edition put the sanctioning of Kingmaker and other AP's on Hold, or do you still plan to sanction new content for PFS1 while preparing for pfs2?

You couldn't start an hour earlier and put it on the radio, could you?

Actually, let’s do it right now. And can you make it individual personal calls where you tell us all the upcoming secrets and answer our questions one at a time?

We're a little more than an hour away from showtime—see you there!

Great question for the podcast. If you missed it live, KD will have it available in their library

Any highlights?

I hear there was some paper ripping pantomime.

An excellent interview! I appreciate how open you both are about what you're thinking, and what's possible and not possible for the future.

One thing that was news to me was that the society playtest scenarios can still be run until July next year. I've had "end-of-year" drummed into my head for the end of the playtest period, but it makes sense that we'll still have more time to play the society scenarios (and earn those playtest points) until we start gearing up for the launch of the new season/edition/campaign/chapter.

What's anybody else's take on The Grinder?

Hard pass. I didn’t play Bonekeep and I will not play this. The worst part is that GenCon 2018 was my last PFS interactive special, and I didn’t know it. “There was a time in our lives when we went outside to play with our friends for the last time, and we didn’t even realize it.”

I'll run it for the story, doubt I'll take any opportunity to play it.

I plan to GM it next Gencon, but don't plan to play it.

I will probably be getting rest-time during that slot to GM on the overnights (which went really, really well last year).

I'm really looking forward to it. If I'm going out, I'm going out with a bloody bang where I say "Oh my gosh, we did that!"

I think the palceholder name of The Grinder (and John's hyperbolic descriptions of mass death and character sheets torn up) have really put the messaging off on this special. A lot of people seem to be taking it as if the OP team is gleefully looking forward to destroying all our beloved characters instead of as an epic, possibly bittersweet, blaze of glory that is necessary to help the Society survive.

Maybe it's because I've heard John talk enough to know when he's making silly exaggerations and tangents to amuse himself.

That’s right, you’ll run it.

I believe you have a date with destiny in Minnesota.

Yeah, I figured that S.W.A.T. wants to do that one.

I just don't want that to be the endnote for PF1 for all of OrgPlay.

Hmm

Yeah, it is really sad that other people aren't picking up on this.

I suppose Sheila will send clueless society agents into the "Grinder" ... Magnimar here we come! Most will have to deal with the tapestry at the grand lodge with Ambrus... a Few will be exploring a sub shop near the north shore...

I’m choosing to believe that the hyperbole is warn8ng people like me away. I have heard a John say that he has to be careful about setting expectations after the “Year of the Adamantine Greatsword” mistake.

Season 6 was interesting. I'd say Season 4 was more deadly. Still, it is clear that they don't want to kill your character but give players an option if things get too deadly. No problem - I've got a whole pile of bards created... =(:o) ♬♪♩ *aaaaghh!* *pop* =(:o) ♬♪♩ *urrrgkkk!* ... the music of a valiant bard defence...

First thing I thought of when I listed to the interview as well.
