It's kind of strange to me that magical repair takes a longer amount of time than mundane repair. Even taking the same amount of time seems off. It's magic? Isn't supernaturally fast mending the appeal of it? Watching something patch itself back together in seconds inspires wonder.
This is in keeping with the general reduction in caster-martial disparity. In PF1, a mundane character could take feats and spend skill points and then devote weeks or months making a suit of armor. A wizard could just learn spells and do the same thing in seconds. "Fabricate! Masterwork Transformation!"
Similarly, Wild Shape and Invisibility and Fly and Air Walk all seemed better than mundane stealth / acrobatics abilities.
PF2 has tried to fix all that, but it's not easy to do without killing the magic of magic.
