Everywhere I find the Smart armor tech item the purchase price is listed at 18,500gp but the crafting cost is 14,00gp this is obviously a typo but it's never been errataed, do is it 14,000gp (excessive for its price) or 1,400gp (insanely cheap) or is it supposed to e 9,250gp (half price like most tech items) my players will probably get the 1,400gp price at this rate.

It is considered light armor in compact form, and heavy armor in expanded form.
As this is the same thing, it is reasonable to say you need sufficient Adamantine for the heavy armor (=15,000 gp)
Given the base price of 16,500 gp (not 18,500gp), that leaves 1,500 gp for armor before special materials. half-plate has the same AC, but for 600 gp. But this is tech, not normal armor. Half base price is 750 gp.
I would call its crafting as 750 + 15,000 = 15,750 gp.
That 1,400 gp cost does not make sense.

True, but it provides DR as per medium armor, so I used the adamantine price for medium armor since it's cost matched the mechanical benefit of the armor.

ARISE THREAD OF OLD AND DO MY BIDDING!!
So, does anyone have a hard copy of the Technology Guide on hand to check this? Smart Armour costs 16,500gp to buy, but apparently only 1,400gp to make (less than 10%).
ARCHIVESOFNETHYS, PFSRD and even the LEGACY RULES list the crafting price as 1,400gp (although the PFSRD and Legacy site have the comma in a weird place: "14,00". This might mean it's meant to be 14,000, but that doesn't seem right either).
So yeah, does anyone have a hard copy to see what's there?
We're probably going to ignore it and just call it half the buy-price, but I thought I'd just see if there's a number somewhere that looks right.
