Skill Increases

Skills, Feats, Equipment & Spells

Am I correct that skill increases apply only to actual skills, and not to armor/weapons/saves/spellcasting/perception/etc due to classes having class features where some of these are specifically stated they are increased to the next level?

Secondly, does anyone else feel like the number of skill increases are too few for all but rogues? In doing the playtest, when leveling up rogues, I feel like my skill progression is similar to what we've experienced in Pathfinder and D&D3.5, while all other classes seem to be increasingly left behind on skill progression, with very few trained skills and maybe only one skill trained any higher than that. With certain skiil checks being restricted to certain mastery levels, I feel like more skill increases are necessary. So far this effect seems to get worse as characters level up to higher levels (I know, we're only at level 9 so far, so maybe this will change at still higher levels).

Is armor under the "skills" header?

No?

Then its not a skill. ;)
