Each time you use Sneak, you move half your speed and roll 1 secret check (either the GM rolls in secret or you roll so only the GM sees) and compare the result to the Perception DC of each creature that you’re Sensed or Unseen by where you began the action. If you succeed, you become unseen or remain unseen during our movement and at the end of your movement, as long as you end the movement with cover or concealment.
One exception that’s explicitly spelled out is if you succeed at Sneaking and Strike a creature, they’re flat-footed for that attack, then you become seen.
So if you want to Sneak a distance of 30 feet, you move in increments of 1/2 your speed, ending your movement in cover or concealment each time. You might have to make 2 or 3 Stealth rolls depending on your speed and compare each to the Perception DC of every creature that you are Sensed or Unseen by at the start of each movement.
If you’re a Goblin with the Very Sneaky feat, you can make a string of Sneaks without ending each movement in cover or concealment, as long as your last Sneak action ends in cover or concealment.
