Just a quick thought:
Going by the character wealth by level table, it seems like adding a spell to your spellbook outside of the two spells per level received automatically is very expensive. You could drain your entire currency to learn an additional 4 spells of the highest level; since that's unrealistic, let's say you spent it all to learn 2 spells of every level.
Therefore, you'll have maybe 6 spells/level in your spellbook, 4 from leveling and 2 from buying spells.
Perhaps this is intended? It makes sorcerer a lot more attractive when the wizard can't de facto purchase every spell in the spell list. Wizard's advantage becomes more about flexibility of heightening spells rather than of raw versatility.

I mean honestly, I feel like wizards shouldn't even be able to just buy new spells. From a balance point, not an in-world point. In world it makes perfect sense but...
Mechanically, they're just buying new class abilities. And can have as many of those class features as they want with enough money.
Hell, Clerics are even worse, just getting everything right off the bat. Or at least they were in PF1, I'm not entirely in the mood to crack open the pdf to check if that's still the case in PF2.
But yeah, can Fighters just shell out cash for more feats? Nah m8.

It should also be noted that a single spell in Pathfinder 2 has a lot more value than in the first edition.
Invisibility? Learn one spell instead of 2!
Summon monster? A single level 1 spell gives you access to 9 level of that spells!
You should take into consideration that a lot of lower level spells can be heightened, and that they replace previous spells of higher level.

I would like to note that the fighter actually does have the option to gain a feat they don't normally have as per the combat flexibility feat.
Combat Flexibility 9th
When you make your daily preparations, you gain one fighter feat of 8th level or lower that you don’t have. You can use that feat until your next daily preparations. You must meet all its other prerequisites.

Wizards can use an Arcana check to prepare out of looted spellbooks without paying to copy them. The only feature that demands a spell be in their own book is the 10 minute swap feat.
Pretty much this. Captured and looted spell books are basically the magic sword and armor for wizards. It is why they want to delve into tombs and lost places. It is expensive but every new spell adds to their tool belt of stuff they can prepare every day and improves their flexibility.
That has always been their advantage over sorc a wizard can just plan learn a lot more spells and have more available to prepare to face different situations than a prepared caster does.
Wizards are still limited to how many spells per day they can prepare and still have to make educated guesses as to what spells they will require during the day although they have options to help mitigate that a bit.
