Kineticist caster level

Rules Questions

So I recognize this may come off as a very stupid question but I haven't been able to find a straight answer for it with quite a bit of Googling. Under Expanded Element, if you have taken the same element as your first at 7th and 15th level you get +1 to attack and damage rolls, and to caster level and DC. My question is, what does the caster level increase actually do for the Kineticist, and secondary, if I am playing a Svirfneblin With Stoneseer for +1 caster level on spells with the earth descriptor what, if anything, would that modify (assuming geokineticist).

Sovereign Court

Spell penetration and for various wild talents that act like spells/have specific pointers in their description.

Ok so it would just add, with both of those, +2 to a caster level check to overcome spell resistance and certain variables on the wild talents that function as spells (like Seismic Master), if I am understanding that correctly?

Yes. Range and similar on the wild talents which function as spells and +2 to beat SR.

Ok thanks for the help.

That said, since Earth blasts are physical, they generally don't allow for SR.
