Can undead wield a disruption weapon?

Rules Questions

Had a question arise tonight. A character of mine who was turned into a vampire turned up as an adversary against our current party. The character carried a warhammer of disruption. Can an undead wield a weapon that is designed to send him back to the nether regions without a save or penalty?

Yes, its effects apply only on the undead struck with the weapon. An undead can hold it without being affected, the same way as a person wielding a flaming weapon doesn't get burned just by holding it.

Silver Crusade

Huh, bet Vecna wished he had one for that whole Kas debacle.

That was the general thought but we were unsure. I appreciate the help.
