When I take the Favored Maneuver vigilante talent, can I choose a "Improved Feat" without meeting its prerequisites?

Favored Maneuver (Ex): The vigilante selects one type of combat maneuver to be a favored maneuver. He gains the Improved feat corresponding to that combat maneuver (if one exists). He gains a +2 circumstance bonus on combat maneuver checks with that combat maneuver against a foe that is unaware of the vigilante’s presence at the start of his combat maneuver. A vigilante can select this talent more than once. Each time, it applies to a different combat maneuver.

Is this really correct? It seems like a grey area.
It looks like the game author didn't even consider Combat Expertise & Int 13 as the default pre-reqs for (some of) the Improved Manoeuvre feats.
Not actually written down, but if you gain a specific feat, you ignore the prereqs, whereas if you select a bonus feat, you need to fulfill prereqs.
You get the chose the maneuver, but then you get a fixed feat, so I say the above principle upholds, and you don't need the prereqs for the <Improved X> feat.
I agree with Derklord. It's a special case because while you are making a selection, it's not a bonus feat. You're being given a specific feat when you choose between specific combat maneuvers.
