Limited Wish to teleport a corpse

Okay, so assume the party rogue died in an area that is too hazardous for the cleric to just go there and cast raise dead or resurrection. Could the party wizard cast limited wish to teleport the corpse (or part thereof) to where the party is?

For reference:
- limited wish can replicate non-opposition school 6th-level wizard and 5th-level non-wizard spells or lower, or 5th- and 4th-level opposition school spells, respectively. It can also do things of an equal power level to those.
- teleport is a 5th-level wizard spell, greater teleport is 7th-level, treacherous teleport and ice crystal teleport are 6th-level.

Assuming a “reversed direction teleport” is on par with a 6th-level spell (it's basically a modified teleport, just like treacherous teleport or ice crystal teleport), this would mean as long as the wizard is “very familiar” with the rogue and hasn't chosen conjuration as an opposition school, he has a 97% chance to teleport the entire corpse, a 2% chance to teleport only part of it, and a 1% chance to get a similar corpse.

Am I correct in my assumptions? What about a mauled/disfigured corpse or if it's been eaten by animals/monsters? Should those bump the difficulty to “studied carefully”, “seen casually”, etc. (depending on the state of the corpse)?

Also, is there already a spell that could do something like that?

It's not necessarily unreasonable, but not necessarily reasonable either.

I would probably tell you that you could use limited wish to teleport to the body (if you didn't know the exact location of it, since it could have moved since then) and another teleport once there to teleport back out. If you can scry the body to verify its location then limited wish isn't even necessary.

GM call, as Claxon said, but I personally would allow a limited wish to retrieve a body. I could see for flavor reasons requiring some connection to the body (hair clippings for example.)

Consider shrink item (maybe with Reach Spell or spectral hand) and mage hand. Given this combination does the job (at least if you are willing to get relatively close), a limited wish is within reason.

When it comes to real teleportation, teleport object is 7th level but quite limited. You might be better off with dimensional bounce (also a 7th level spell): Go in, touch the corpse, maybe shrink it, be gone in the next round.

I'll allow it. I think that using limited wish to retrieve a corpse of an ally is acceptable. It'll allow the rogue to get back in the action sooner. Better than letting the player of the rogue to get bored.

I'd use a scry class spell to be diffinitive about the location, for extra accuracy. That way, you're familiar with the body, the location of the body, the location you're at, and using the wish should have no problem being viable.
