Alchemical Items galore! Questions about these and some Crafter(alchemy) stuff.

Rules Questions

Hello, I've been scouring over the Ultimate equipment book and found a few goodies to torment friend and foe alike, but I need a little help figuring out some rules.

Alchemist has the Throw Anything feature, which gives the feat of same name but also allows the alchemist to apply Int Modifier to both direct hit and splash weapons.

1. Does it double up, if I hit someone with a direct and they are affected by the splash, they take int modifier damage in both instances?

2. What about Tangleburn Bag, it's a burning tanglefoot bag! The rule I'm curious about is the catching on fire. If you catch on fire and someone throws water at you, the fire explodes the burning person takes a hit as if struck by Alchemist's Fire. Would the throw anything +int to damage bonus apply in this case since we can make and throw the bag?

3. Fuse Grenades text says they act as thrown splash weapons, so I assume they take the +int to damage bonus, but what happens if you have a dozen of them in a bag and throw the bag into a fire, do they all detonate at once?

4. Crafting poisons, it seems fun if not as effective as a power attack axe to the face, but fun all the same. My question is if you have to play as getting the specific materials or do crafter's simply 'synthesize' what's needed? Gian Wasp Poison costs 210gp and has craft DC 18. Do I need to go around milking giant wasps to make this poison?

5. Not alchemically related but, items such as Skeleton keys, what Craft would they go under, is there a "smithing" field?
More to come as I find more fun items!

6. I just read on the poison stacking rules and something got me curious. How does stacking work with ingested poisons? Is it per done on food, or per "bite"? If I want to stack a poison at a feast, do I mix the poison into multiple dishes and each one triggers a dose, or do I use more doses in a single dish. And speaking of that, can multiple people be affected by one dish, can a poisoned cup of cream affect multiple people?

1) how exactly would you do this? I don't think.. that can ever happen? I know of no way that you can be the direct hit, ~and~ splashed.
That being said. I'm quite sure that the answer is no. As it is stil the same source (the splash weapon)

2)Weird corner case. If the alchemist throws said water. I think that yes, that would work for INT to damage, as it is stated as "equivalent to alchemist's fire making a direct hit on the target (including splash damage)" so its the same, and even if you don't like the word equivalent, it specifies "splash damage" speficially which is a splash weapon effect.
but. If the alchemist threw the tangle burn bag. and someone else threw the water. I do not believe INT would apply as it is not caused by the alchemist.
Mileage will vary though

3) Fuse grenades are thrown as if splash weapons (aka. it has the same ruling with regards to hit and misses)
However. it is not a splash weapon. it is an AOE weapon. Look at the table
Fuse grenade 100 gp 2d6/1d6 ×2 10 ft. 1 lb. B/fire Area, see text
compared to a splahs weapon
Burst jar 35 gp 1 — 10 ft. 1 lb. Sonic Splash, see text

If you wanted to switch toa burst jar for the example. They would take the INT damage when thrown. As for the "bag o doom" the fire won't make a difference. But if you dropped them all on a target--assuming they all broke. then yeah each one would get INT as they're different items and throw anything just specifies "damage done with splash weapons".
Do note it would be easier to work with an ally and have them "smash" the bag, then throw it before the next round when it explodes.

4)That is up to your GM really. Generally speaking though, you pay the crafting cost, and its assumed you went out and bought or otherwise spent that money in obtaining said materials to craft. There are rules in that alchemist manual suppliment for actually gathering cratfed items.
and GMs will often let you hunt down in a non PFS game.
Also you can't really milk giant wasps. you'd probably have to kill them and take their poison glands. unless you like domesticated them or used a familiar or pet somehow to get one.

5) No clue. Never heard of that one.
In general though go to the PRD http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateEquipment/gear/index.html It is generally assumed anything under the bottom list (alch to poisons) are all craft alchemy.
anything anywhere else is probably up to GMs.

6) per doses of food. I.e. If I put 1 poison into the soup i'm serving a group of adventurers at my sociopath cannabalism inn, then they all get a1 dose, whether they eat a little or a lot.

if i wanted to multi dose them. I'd just put 10 doses into the soup or drinks, etc.
You can spread it around in multiple dishes if you want, or load it up in one.

That all being said. The "number of people' is generally kind of squiffy in this game. Typically one dose is enough for one person. But that changes for inhaled and ingested. They purposfully avoided quantifying too much on that one. the game generally will avoid "well its 1tsp in 2 gallons of soup.. is the individual doses enough to actually do anything to anyone?" situations.

So again GM territory. Though for me, its always been "you eat any of it you make a save" territory

I replied to this but apparently it didn't send. Above answered most same way as myself, only one is 4.

4. Milking and getting poisons from tge source is Survival and described in Ultimate Wilderness. Thus it would be assumed you can synthesize the pousons with correct access to materials.

@zwordsman
1. I realize my mistake now, I misunderstood the wording in the tanglebag. "using water to extinguish the flames creates a burst of burning material equivalent to alchemist’s fire makinga direct hit on the target (including splash damage)". The 'including' part made me think they meant he takes some splash damage, but I realize now it means that there's a blast of fire around him.

2. Yeah that one is tricky because the alchemist feature doesn't exactly go into detail on durations. But possibly safe to assume it works with any item he throws, even if it's delayed, since it's still part of the effect of the item he threw? Will ask around a bit more.

3. This is handy to know. I wasn't aware there was a column in the ranged weapons which says "splash" or not. Learning something new every day!
But as a rule of thumb, if the bombs are hit by fire, or in a square with fire, they will likely detonate? I'm assuming they don't suddenly become fireproof because of missing wording on their reaction to fire.

4.How is poison material acquirement usually doen in PFS games, not really informed on how PFS actually functions. Only that some content is pfs legal and some is not. My understanding is that pfs illegal content is still a-okay but prone to cheesing and that's something they don't want in public official games?

5. Hmm, handy to know, will look further into it.

6. I kind of found this disgustingly funny combination after reading Merchan't Manifest. There's a new bag which simply vacuums up all magic items on a person as long as they are unconcious or dead. Add in some knock out poisons in the local beer and you can see how profitable that might be. To be safe I'll run with maybe something like 1-2 doses per four people but generally a spoonful/average gulp enough to be one dose.

2. Yeah that one is tricky because the alchemist feature doesn't exactly go into detail on durations. But possibly safe to assume it works with any item he throws, even if it's delayed, since it's still part of the effect of the item he threw? Will ask around a bit more.
2) Probably would need to ask around more.
3) Do you mean the fuse? if they're hit by fire? If they're on you, I believe you'd treat them like any item that may or may not be damaged by an attack. Those rules. Then the fuse may be lit and you roll the rounds. (However, if there was enough damage to break the clay then i guess they could go off instantly. Though, broken clay would comprimise the explosive concussion realistically... so I dunno if its a good idea to delve into that. Much less there are no rules for "how thick the clay wall of a fuse grenade is"
So I would really default with "fire damage can light the fuses" and "if broken they can't explode and instead just burn the gunpowder fruitlessly"

4. No clue about poison in PFS. I rarely play that as they don't host many near me (actually non within several hour drives) PFS has its own ruleset yeah. Not all of it is because cheesy or whatever. The rules are somewhat arbitrary to create a "good society" sorta thing? They do blcok some cheese though. But also a lot is just for the ease of logistics. Such as crafting being generally not allowed so money and supplies are more readily controlled from game to game.
I think in general you can rarely buy poison in society as its generally looked down on. might be a reward in a few scenario though.

you'll need someone who knows more to answer that. or ask in the PFS forums here.

6) that is.. pretty funny. If that isnt' PFS you could pull various alchemist poison tricks to get some pretty high DC. Or mass produce "drow poison" and convert it from injury to ingested.

6. I found a sorta more funny combo. In theory, a Bounty Hunter Slayer at level 10 could ambush someone, knock them out cold, loot all their magic item including magic armor and weapons and be gone in two or three rounds.
