I used to use the "search by publisher" option from the sidebar - it would take me to a page of gaming companies sorted alphabetically (so if I wanted the latest D&D adventure but couldn't remember the name I could go look at the wizards of the coast section, for example).
I just went to the store tab but couldn't see the equivalent. What's the best approach for me to replicate that? (I should stress sometimes I can't even remember the publisher exactly, so I'd like the ability to see a list of gaming companies too rather than having to search for it specifically).

It’s not urgent, but the letter links along the top don’t seem to be working for me.
Hmm—you're right. I'll file that bug. Those links are actually same-page navigation, though—clicking the letter link should just scroll you down to the section with that letter.
Can I ask how I could easily get there from the main page? (Or is that going to be resolved with the eventual “sidebar solution”).
In the top navigation, go to the Store page. Scroll down to the product category display, and just above it on the right, you'll see "Browse: By Company or By Brand." Click "By Company." ("By Brand" is currently busted.) This has never been a primary navigation mode, so it has never been super prominent, and probably won't be in a sidebar link.
(I am really hoping we can rip out and replace a lot of the current store navigation by the end of the year; I have long had ideas about how to make it easier to use *and* easier to maintain on the backend, but we have a bunch of other things that have to happen to make that possible.)

In the near term, you'll see the return of letting you choose whether you're searching for products, blogs, or messageboard posts (like we had in the before-time).
I should mention that you do currently have those options to refine your search once you've searched once... you just can't specify them before you search right now.

Any idea when you will be fixing the problem where products disappear when you try to refine your search to them? This problem seems to be particularly prevalent with searches for miniatures -- the "Everything" tab might have several of them for a given search term, but the "Products" tab and the "Miniatures" link often have nothing.

There seems to be an issue with how the header search field results get generated and filtered. We're looking into it. In the meantime, you should have a more productive experience by repeating the same search from the search box on the search page. You will likely end up with more comprehensive results, and the filtering will similarly be more consistent.
