Question on wording for fighter's "Advanced Weapon Training"

Rules Questions

Weapon Mastery: "The fighter gains a weapon mastery feat as a bonus feat, even when not wielding a weapon from the appropriate weapon group. He must meet all of the feat’s prerequisites"

What does this mean exactly? Specifically "even when not wielding a weapon from the appropriate weapon group."

it means he gets one of these feats Ace Disarm (Targeting, Weapon Mastery)
Ace Trip (Targeting, Weapon Mastery)
Burrowing Shot (Weapon Mastery)
Cut from the Air (Weapon Mastery)
Devastating Assault (Weapon Mastery)
Difficult Swings (Weapon Mastery)
Finesse Shot (Weapon Mastery)
Impressive Grit (Weapon Mastery)
Liberating Shot (Weapon Mastery)
Marksman's Utility (Weapon Mastery)
Retributive Kick (Weapon Mastery)
Ricochet Toss (Weapon Mastery)
Smash from the Air (Weapon Mastery)
Spellcut (Weapon Mastery)
Targeted Blow (Weapon Mastery)
Weapon Material Mastery (Weapon Mastery)
Weapon Style Mastery (Style, Weapon Mastery)

and he can use it even when using a weapon other than one of the weapons in his fighter weapon training group

100%

It does NOT, in case you where wondering, allow you to use those feats with weapons inappropriate for the choosen feat.

Thanks!
