Let's hope conditions will be simplified.

Prerelease Discussion

I'm hoping that the 38 conditions of PF are reduced to 10, maybe 15 at most, especially with the tiered conditions system they're going for. Conditions are a major factor of the book-keeping nightmare that is keeping track of all your modifiers from buffs, debuffs, items, and maneuvers.

I agree, with a tiered condition system we should expect many of the existing conditions to be covered by weaker or stronger versions of nauseated or exhausted. Saw that Slow is now a condition, which makes you lose an action for each rank it is, which makes me think Haste will do the opposite.

There was a note around this in the thread about playing PF2 at GaryConn. You might be interested to see that snippet:

Conditions now have a number which designates the degree - nauseated 1, for example, means you are nauseated and take -1 to whatever checks the nauseated condition specifies. Nauseated 2 is worse and gives you -2 on those checks. Seemed pretty clever!
