Im looking for a way to increase a magic weapon/item/wonderous item while using them. i know you could craft it with a higher caster level, but are there other ways? temporary or no, im looking for different ways for my occultist.

Have your item be a staff.
Or a wand, and be high enough level to take the feat "stafflike wand".

only way i can think of is a very niche archetype for i think wizards that allows them to replace the caster level of the wand that they are using with their own that's about it i think

There's ways for a rogue or an alchemist (or others who might get discoveries or rogue talents) to do this. As an occultist though? The equipment trick (wondrous item) feat lets you increase the CL for the purposes of resisting dispelling only.

Edit: The uncanny activation feat works for scrolls and wands, and the artifact hunter story feat works if you complete it. Cypher magic works for scrolls only.

oooo i just remembers isn't there a prestige class that can do it for wands and scrolls?

Pathfinder Savant can do this with scrolls at 3rd level and with all uncharged magic items (which excludes wands) at 10th level.

Brewmaster can do this with potions at 3rd level.

Tattooed Mystic can do this with magical tattoos at 9th level.

Panoply Savant Occultist archetype lv8 ability
