Assume the player is a caster with some martial training. EK, MT with cleric or oracle, whatever. Player must have access to spells like create demiplane(lesser should be OK), plane shift, anthropomorphic animal, magic jar. A ship with access to open ocean might be a good idea too.

PREPARATION: make a demiplane and fill it with ocean water, make it bountiful as well. Then, get yourself a Great White Whale and throw it into your aquarium. Order a set of colossal armor, the best you can get.

When the need for a colossus appears, put yourself into a huge backpack and cast anthropomorphic animal on a whale. Then magic jar. Now, you are caster with 50 STR and colossal size. Grab your backpack and plane shift into material plane, wherever you need to be. Since you have martial proficiency and can have armour, your AC will be pretty high to survive most of the physical punishment that is flinged at you. Extremely effective if you get things like "hockey stick" - like weapon(scythe?) or wreck havoc with greater cleave.
Don't forget about spell durations. If you flop back into a fish in the middle of nowhere, you can break your equipment. if you get ejected back into your body, you're strapped to a colosus whale that is probably going nuts.

Or you can make this colossus permanent and diplomacy it into helping you or whomever you want.
What do you think about this? Is there flaws? Is there a way to make it better(besides getting gear like for a fighter or barb)?

Make the demiplane have the timeless quality and then use astral projection from the beast's body....

Actually...I'm not sure what would happen if your real body is in a timeless plane but your projection isn't. I'm not sure if the magic would tick down or not...

Depends on GM's ruling. Still, if you want to be a "ghost", there are plenty of options. Being incorporeal doesn't scale well with high STR, a big DEX is far more important.

All I know is, when you are grappling a succubus you really want to be able to have a pocket colossus on demand.

Are you thinking Astral Projection makes you incorporeal?

It doesn't, it makes a new body for you on whatever plane you travel to.

Sprinkle in Carry Companion to taste.

Provided you have some way to get it to like you or can at least cast Euphoric Tranquility so that it counts as Helpful for long enough to get it into statue form.

Euphoric Tranquility also conveniently works to turn Bandersnatches into a form of bomb.

Indeed, this makes the colossus truly pocket size. A bit harder to deploy fully geared but worth it.

What about a handful of bears from a druid, tied to a single command word? Isn't that awesome?
