I dont know what I want to play.

Advice

My GM is running a game based Taldor tomorrow night and I just don't know what to run.

The current party makeup is Unchained Rogue 5, Vermonis Hunter 5, and Fighter 1 + Skald 4.

I've wanted to play Nature Fang for a while, though I don't want to step on toes with a similar spell list to the Hunter, and the Rogues (new player) Sneak Attack.

I'm also concidering an Ex Paladin of Aroden; Possibly an Alchemist with the Interrogator Archetype - one of those "well, I don't need to worry about falling anymore" deals.

What I really want is a versatile melee character whos interesting to play.

2000 starting gold, 25 point buy, level 5.

I'd appreciate suggestions on my current build options, or compleatly new ones :)

Have you considered a mesmerist? Painful stare for bonus damage, tricks can help the rogue get a sneak, feinting can help you hit.

The vexing daredevil archetype is really fun for this.

Silver Crusade

This is a character build I have used a few times. They are very versatile melee character.

Any race will work. I recommend Dwarf or Human. At level 5 they look like this.
Rogue Unchained 3 (only doing this to get evasion and skill ranks. Don't bother taking Disable or stealth.)
Paladin 2 (When level 6 advance to level 3. Your done with paladin.)
Fighter Lore Master (This is all your levels after 6. Focusing on any weapon, and combat maneuver you want to.)

Character will never use medium or heavy armor. So two weapon fighting dose help with the AC at lower levels.
Point buy before race modifier. (Human +2 Str)
Two Handed Weapon
Str 16
Dex 10
Con 16
Int 12
Wis 8
Cha 14
Two Weapon Fighting
Str 16
Dex 15
Con 14
Int 12
Wis 7
Cha 14

Level Ability's.
1: Power Attack (Human Improved Imitative)
3: Improved Over Run Rogue Talent: Combat Trick: Improved Bull Rush
5: Charge Through

Just play what you wanted to: Nature fang.

The hunter only has level 2 spells a that point whereas the druid has level 3 spells. The party could definitely benefit from a full-caster. Hunter's are more martially inclined and would probably focus on teamwork feats with its animal companion. The hunter is a hybrid class, it's very existence is stepping on the toes of two other classes, don't worry about stepping on nature spell toes; hunters get access to ranger list on top of druid list, so he's got plenty of unique features.

The rogue is a new player. You know what new rogues need? Someone constantly to help them flank. A sneaking attacking nature fang fits that bill.

For the Taldor flavor, try a Rondolero duelist fighter, using the Taldor style of falcata and buckler.
Once you've got a few levels, you could switch to magus for versatility.

Mix levels as necessary. (fighter for BAB and Magus for fun)

It's not a great idea to multi magus, nor is rondolero duelist all that great, but it might be fun.

Sadly, no Psychic spellcasters allowed, but I am allowed non-psychic spellcasters from the Occult guide like the Onmyoji

This could be interesting, though I feel I could gain a lot of similar functionality with Warpriest 5, the Agile enchantment, and the Divine Protection feat. Could you explain aything I'm missing?

You're a wise Protoman.

There's also a cool Swashbuckler in Weapon Masters Handbook, I'll think about this.

I think I still may go with my ex Arodean Paladin idea for character concept, so I only need to worry about the build. Anyone have INT baised martial advice?

Inquisitors make interesting combatants. Likewise Magus and Warpriests.

It would seem to me Melee is covered pretty well.

Looks like the group is missing control abilities and Someone to remove conditions.

My Suggestions:

I recommend a Shaman for Party Balance.

If you have to have Melee abilities Perhaps a Hexcrafter Magus.

This is what I was about to say.

Silver Crusade

Warpriest lack the skill ranks to fake being a knowledge monkey. Warpriest dose not have evasion. Warpriest can not by pass any DR 1/day. Warpriest dose not have immunity to fear, and diseases when you level.

Warpriest have a better spell list, and more spells. Warpriest have a better will save as you level.

Before ability modifiers, and race.
Warpriest
BAB 3
Fort 4 Ref 1 Will 4
Skill Ranks 10

Rogue Unchained 3/ Paladin 2
BAB 4
Fort 4 Ref 3 Will 4
Skill Ranks 26
