Necklace of Adaptation vs smoke / pollen / dust

As the title asks really, would the Necklace of Adaptation block smoke inhalation, pollen or dust since they are technically particulates in the air? And would it stop physical contact of them on the skin/gear?

Yes. It works in a vacuum and underwater. Pretty much blocks anything that's suspended in a gas or liquid or is a gas or liquid.

It definitely would appear so. If you would otherwise inhale it, the necklace of adaptation appears to protect you from it.
