Unholy Water?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I don't see it in either Archives of Nethys nor d20pfsrd... what happened?

What do you mean?

Unholy water is still a thing.

I meant its effects and such aren't described, unlike holy water.

The spell describes how it functions. It functions like holy water, except it only affects good outsiders.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I don't think the effects have ever been stated anywhere else than in the curse water spell. Unlike holy water, which is included in the Equipment chapter.

Which means its cost is missing and all.

Yes it does. And that has been a known issue for at least 18 years now (since 3.0 D&D at least).

Holy water is specifically stated to be sold by good temples at cost (25gp each). The same could apply to evil temples and unholy water. I believe they would likely charge more. They are evil after all, and since unholy water is less useful than holy water it may likely only be made on demand, raising the price.

It's also a component for certain spells, like its counterpart.
