Part the Veil (Su): At 8th level, you can lace spells you cast with the raw madness that waits in the outer darkness. Activating this ability is a swift action that you must use as you cast a spell that targets a single creature and that allows a Will saving throw to negate or reduce the spell’s primary effect. If the target fails to resist the spell, the target is also confused for a number of rounds equal to the spell’s level as visions of the void cause temporary insanity.
The victim must succeed at a new saving throw each round to end the effect—these additional saving throws apply only to the additional confusion effect and not to the original spell effect. Part the veil is a mind-affecting effect. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 1/2 your class level.
How is this for a debuff cleric when combo'd with the domain ability Aura of Menace, or spells like Aura of Doom or Archon's Aura? Looking to make it my bread and butter to debuff my enemies and then finish them off with a save or die or simply watch my meat shields destroy my enemies.

The should be to have the aura up before combat then cast a single target will spell that now confuses. The auras are to lower the save in the first place.
Hmm I was initially thinking to use the aura to create the confusion effect, but ya ur right that works better. That leads me to ask what spell would be a good spell to lace with confusion?

The ability requires the target to fail its will save against the cast spell, so that severely limits it: In most cases, that failure will make the confusion effect largely irrelevant or actually worse for you (Murderous Command with this effect might not be a good idea).
So, what you are looking for is:
- Cleric Spell
- Single Target Only
- Will Negates or Will Partial
- That doesn't already completely incapacitate or control the target on a failed save.

Honestly, Harm and the line of Inflict Wounds spells are the only things coming to mind. Of course, these are touch spells and it sounds (from your other posts) like your cleric is an Ecclesitheurge so this might be detrimental to your health...

Very helpful, thank you Taja.
