Spirit Summoner: Any non-battle spirits worth bothering with?

Except for Ancestor and Battle (with ancestor being underwhelming despite that) all the hexes and spirit abilities for the other spirits look to depend on wisdom or have garbage action economy (Standard action for buffs that last rounds and are worse than spells). Battle on the other hand seems worthwhile, getting passive Battlemaster, Swift Eyes of Battle and Swift bane weapon, plus Righteous Might for sharing with Eidolon. Did I miss something?

Waves gets you the ability to see through fog/mist constantly as a hex. Wave strike isn't terrible, and the later spirit abilities are useful in an aquatic campaign.

The slums spirit ability is good and stays good, and honestly all of those hexes have uses. The greater spirit ability is at least OK and the true spirit ability is spectacular. I can't see how this isn't worthwhile.

Life famously gives you channeling and life link. And related spells. For someone who's willing to play backup to their eidolon/summons this is good.

Dark tapestry lets you give all your summons the advanced template once you get a hex at level 6. For a summoner it'd be worth it for that alone. Admittedly it doesn't give a lot else that's good until the true spirit ability. Remember that while you lose the summon monster ability you can still pick the spells as spells known, and the APG summoner gets those at early levels.

Life helps me play a 'priest' type too. Or at least it's what I use for the idea anyway. The character is basically the only worshipper his god(the eidolon) has. As he grows in power so does his diety.

Overlooked Slums. Man that ability would be terrible on the intended class: " it can transport only you" means the Shaman can't take their spirit animal (at least not without using other books to make them an object... which you technically can't take even then if you read it too strictly). Nifty for a Summoner who can call their friend on the other side. Life definitely has its uses too.

See through fog/mist can be done with magic items (though free scrying is better than a lot of hexes), though Beckoning Chill is pretty nifty when combined with Energy Attacks. Dark Tapestry isn't much use on an unchained summoner except when paired with Summon Eidolon but everything else is pretty meh.
