Memorable Locomotive Fighter?

Advice

Hello all,

I've got a vision for a memorable NPC for a campaign I'm running, but I'm having trouble building him. Imagine a fighter, probably sword-and-board, that can charge into a person and through strength and momentum he can impact them with his shoulder, doing damage and knocking them back. I would say improved bull rush, but that specifically indicates the ability to reposition an enemy without doing damage. I want a mechanical explanation as to how he can impact someone bodily, deal damage, and the force of the impact throws the attacked party back five feet or more. Any suggestions?

Siegebreaker fighter, probably. It's made for something like your described effect.

Stack on the shield slam feat while you're at it

I second Siegebreaker Fighter, although the good stuff is kind of front-loaded, and later levels get to be not so good, because the temporary hit points that you get in exchange for Bravery become less useful than Bravery later on (once you can get Advanced Weapon Training (Armed Bravery), if only the archetype didn't trade out Bravery), unless you can get all the way to 20th level (the capstone isn't bad, if you haven't chickened out by that time); on the plus side, at least this archetype doesn't trade out Weapon Training and Armor Training. So a dip(*) in Siegebreaker might be best, followed by something else.

(*)2 levels if you just want Breaker Rush and Breaker Momentum, or 4 levels if you want Disruptive without needing to meet the prerequisites (DON'T select Step Up at 4th level -- you will automatically meet the prerequisites and thus be able to select it with a regular feat or a bonus combat feat no matter what you are, unless you multiclass 4 different non-full-BAB classes without using Pathfinder Unchained Fractional Base Bonuses, and 4th level of Fighter of any archetype already ensures you got past that potential prerequisite show-stopper). 4 levels also gives you the 1st rank of Armor Training, although if you are a Dwarf, Armor Training won't do much for you, so slap on another archetype to trade it for something else.

Now, what I REALLY want to see is a Steampunk archetype of something that does this . . . .
