Flying scrolls

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

So, in Inner Sea Magic, Paizo 'rulified' Varian Jegarre's Riffle Scrolls from Prince of Wolves. I am wondering if anywhere they did a write-up of the 'flying scrolls' from Master of Devils. Anyone seen this done, or have any ideas if not?

Do you mean that they are literally flying? While I didn't read the book, there is a bestiary 5 entry: Guardian Scroll CR 3, fly perfect.

Mummy's Mask has them, IIRC.

A good curse item. When you try to activate it, it takes off. You need a strength check to hold on to it.:)

No, that's not what they were. As far as i could tell, they sort of didn't need to be 'read' to used. I recall Jegarre triggering their effect via somatic components, without actually holding the scroll (kept in his sash). At least once he made the component by writing the spells mark on his opponent with his sword.
