Loot heavy campaigns

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Wondering which Adventure Paths are heavy on loot? I am currently playing in two campaigns. Curse of the Crimson Throne and Savage Tide. Are any of these campaigns heavy on loot? By heavy on loot I mean more than the average PC wealth by level guideline.

Anyone know?

Since Paizo APs are pretty much designed to conform to WBL conventions, there shouldn't be a ton of variation there.

ROTRL was really hurting for loot, that's why I ask.

Rise of the Runelords is actually one of the richest APs in relation to party wealth. The issue is it's usually End-Loaded into the final dungeon or challenge of each book in most cases. IE Hoards.

Not to mention tons of equipment for Small characters.

I didn't tally the wealth, but I think you'd be pleased with Dragon's Demand. The whole premise is going to A, B, C & D in order to gather magic goodies with which to combat the known end-boss, a dragon.

Oh, has nobody made it through Savage Tide or CotCT?

Jade Regent might fit the bill because it's one of the few AP's with a large amount of downtime (you travel several thousand miles over land). Meaning, there is lots and lots of time to craft items, and thus net what you want for half price.

By design, the APs tend to have about 150% of the WBL load for their levels. This is, again, by design, as it assumes that A: some gear will not be useful to the specific characters playing the adventure and B: some will be hidden or quest rewards that end up overlooked/unclaimed.

There is some variation, especially in the early APS, but this is the standard design philosophy for the current APs.
