Jabbing Style Vs Pummeling Style?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Silver Crusade

Assuming both would be completed by level 12 Which one would be best long term?

Pummeling style gets past the problems that plague so many unarmed fighters, and gives you basically pounce. But at the same time, its not something you would use all the time.

Jabbing style offers massive spike damage, but is incredibly feat intensive, making whatever build you put it into a really tight fit.

I like both and i'm torn between them which would you choose?

It really depends on what class you're aiming to use them on.

For example, the Unchained Monk gets the Flying Kick style strike and so doesn't need Pummeling Style's psuedo-pounce, and so can make good use of Jabbing Style.

Meanwhile, Brawlers really appreciate the mobility that Pummeling Style grants them. Of course, once they've closed the distance, they can use martial flexibility to get Jabbing Style if they feel they want it.

This is actually for a sacred fist, which is what's making deciding a dedicated style so complicated. Well Either a sacred fist or an enlightened paladin either one.

Does the class get pseudo pounce?
Yes = get jabbing style
No = get pummelling style

I feel like that's all there is to it.
