Now I do not know for sure that it is a typo or misprint but if you look a the upgrade slots column for ceremonial plate, troop(cpt) vs ceremonial plate, officer(cpo). It says 3 upgrades for cpt vs 1 upgrade for cpo. I think it was supposed to be the other way around.

The next one up, Commander, jumps to 5 upgrade slots. Good stuff from what I'm seeing.

Officers don't get dirty so they don't need them.

Everyone knows you can't trust low-ranking officers not to break their gear, so they get the cheap stuff.
