Bought a campsite kit, if others are willing to split it 4 ways like in the description, that will cover all tents and other such things needed, and Lucy will use the 8 trail rations as needed, though I only have enough gold left for 1 anti-toxin... dang first mission character gold deficiencies.

Willing to split it, but do I use the gold from my previous adventure {The Confirmation) or starting gold for my class? I'm unclear on what to do.

Every adventure in which you gain treasure, you actually gain treasure (i.e. it''s all treasure you add it together in one big lump like actual real life money. You start with 150 gp, go on an adventure (or get a high-paying middle-management job) and get 500 more, and so on. What you spend it on is up to you and your CPA.

Airlyn is one of those planar-focused druids. He has knowledge (planes), not (nature).
I did drop him a line to make sure that he's still with us.
Airyn Skystalker

I've just been hanging out, waiting for the adventure to get underway. But, yeah. I don't have ranks in Know(nature) and can't make a DC 11.
Blane rolled (nature) though.

In Lucy's case, Black Maiden is under her orders and control, she just happens to be a genuinely awful being on the whole.
"BAH!" Says the great white huntress.
Confirmation minotaur? Stuffed and mounted on her wall. ;)
It is not conclusive, but Hero Lab seems to allow for evil alter identities on vigilantes.

Now, as a Nosferatu-Born Dhampir, Lydia's weakness is "-1 penalty on saving throws against effects that damage, drain, or reduce physical ability scores."
My question to you, DM, is would you rule that this applies to poison and disease, or just to more "pure" effects like ray of enfeeblement/touch of gracelessness/touch of idiocy? The latter are a broad enough category on their own that the more conservative interpretation would still be enough to be in line with the weaknesses of the other Dhampir bloodlines.

Technically, poisons and diseases cause effects (as listed in their stat blocks), that would trigger your racial flaw if I'm reading it right.
Giant Wasp Venom
Type poison (injury); Save Fortitude DC 18
Frequency 1/round for 6 rounds
Effect 1d2 Dex damage; Cure 1 save
Also nowhere in the quote above does it specify 'spell' or 'magical' based effects, which are often called out (hydraulic push has no effect on magical fire, alter winds has no effect on magical wind effects, and so on).
All in all, I don't think it is as bad as the standard light sensitivity/dazzled racial flaw in any realm outside of one patterned on Ravenloft. Disease, poison and necromancy effects don't tend to occur (again, outside of Ravenloft) as frequently as daylight does.

You da rat!
The Tenor
This is just stupid... stupid spiders... stupid gravity..
She holds out her hand towards the spider her friends are fighting, muttering something a guttural demonic voice as suddenly the ground beneath it becomes slick.
Standard attempt to move, fail, free action, fall to prone, move action to stand, standard action to cast grease, reflex save 12.
A mysterious cloaked figure swings into the middle of the encounter snatches The Black Maiden's vigilante union card from her, and rubber stamps it with the word: PROBATIONARY! in big red letters. He nods somberly, and then sings his way out of the scene.
Exits stage left.

Seriously? The insulting POS Gerard Butler version?

Oh fine, slightly fuzzy Michael Crawford it is (again--I had it there previously). Edited above in the original post.

Lydia, how do the retrievable bullets work? Tawner has a sling too. So it's obviously a percentage to find/retrieve, but what part of that percentage is the bullet found? And does your roll simply indicate that you find it sometime after the battle but you're just rolling it concurrently with the attack so that it's all accounted for?
Also, What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

All ammunition (bullets, bolts, arrows, and darts) has a 50% chance of being salvageable if the shot misses. It's that simple. Technically, it takes a bit of time to do so, but unless one is really low on them or something, that can nearly always be swept under the rug, as it were.

@Lucy/Black Maiden: Let's hope you're being truthful when you said I'd be sixth to last to die.
The World's Most Interesting GM
Mara mechanic, not actually important unless you are a rules stickler: As a mauler, Mara can't speak, black maiden is "interpreting" what she "Feels" Mara is speaking.
*Rules... mutter, mutter, mutter, couldn't play a lousy fighter with a sword, mutter, mutter, mutter*
Ooooh! Mara is Mr. Bun! Here I thought that was Black Maiden Mara Lucy's middle name for a very embarrassingly long moment.
Interpreting feelings accurately is usually a sense motive check.
Next, familiars usually don't speak at first level regardless of archetype--it's a higher level ability. The most you get at first level is an empathic link, unless the animal in question is a parrot or similar vocally endowed creature.
Empathic Link (Su) The master has an empathic link with his familiar to a 1 mile distance. The master can communicate empathically with the familiar, but cannot see through its eyes. Because of the link’s limited nature, only general emotions can be shared. The master has the same connection to an item or place that his familiar does.
Finally, if your bunny rabbit is not just a twitchy pocket warmer sort of familiar who is only there for a stat bonus and doesn't ever need to eat, poop, or live in any significant sense beyond being magical augmenting PETE-unfriendly jewelry, I would highly suggest getting it it's own character page with links to Lucy and her evil twin. It makes it easier for folks to know who is doing what to whom and with what counter-top kitchen appliance.
Black Maiden
|
Oh, I doubt she's interpreting it accurately. Or maybe she is? I dunno, Black Maiden is kinda crazy and Lucy is not much better. I mean, we could sense motive on her to see if she's telling the truth, but she believes she's telling the truth and I don't even know if she really is yet. It is perfectly reasonable assumption that this is a Rorschach and his mask thing just with a crazy girl and her surprisingly violent rabbit. Or maybe the rabbit really is a demonic being from hell.
Sadly, for now Mara is a fluffy pocket warmer, at least until this adventure is done and I can swap out my feat for something more useful, like evolved familiar, (Dirty tactics is seeming less appealing as I go on) or until level 3 when he can start being mean on his own.
The World's Most Interesting GM
Honestly, I would still say do it now if only to avoid confusion as to who is doing what, how many hp they have and if you use their icon on the map where they are when the fireballs start falling. But what is even more important--the sheer comedic value.
The World's Most Interesting GM
Hmm, I thought there was a horrible looking Al-mi'raj somewhere on the site. Perhaps the 'Wikkawak' (for a more thuggish look) or the 'Brambleson' (a more realistic version of what you've got) would work better.

W o w . There is nothing cuddly about that!
Although I get that the BB image represents the presence, I'm just going to pretend that it's a normal looking rabbit but with an unnerving intelligence in its eyes that disturbs me the most. LOL.

Unusually busy today, so I might not be able to post for 24 hours. Be back as soon as I can.

Is there another option besides finding Ulisha?
Sure you can do whatever you like (shop for gear, rent a horse, get coffee, talk, take in an afternoon play). You also have the option of doing whatever is hinted at in the journal handout.
Right now though, I have two (tacit) concurs to go off and find her so if you want to do something else you'll want to talk it over with your companions (either in-character or here out-of-character).
Okay, no more posting for me for a while. Really. ;)

001 still hasn't talked about the 200 gp, the two flasks of alchemist’s fire, and the three potions of cure light wounds.
My dexterity suggests that I shouldn't get anywhere near the alchemist's fire. And I don't need the clw potions.
But gold is good!

Fomalhaut delays until Lydia's turn; please just roll 1 initiative for the two of us henceforth. :/
Sorry, but I find it is sometimes important to see who is caught flat-footed during that first round of combat, if only to figure out what their AC is at the time. Plus, Fomalhaut is intelligent enough to make his own choices like say bull rush an unaware Lydia out of the way of an attack she doesn't see coming.
And I'm pretty sure you mentioned this before.
I'll try and comply in the future. If I slip though just know it is my SOP even with animal companions who must be commanded to act via handle animal, pocket rabbits not withstanding....
That said, where is Mr. Bun? Do we need a brooding Bun icon on the map? Should I put the small savage brute in the initiative line up? Regardless, if he is out of pocket he should probably be on the map.

I'm still around, I've just been feeling a little down (that is to say, more so than usual).
The World's Most Interesting GM
Sorry to hear. I have some little experience with geologic time scale depression (something I hope has little or no relation to what you're going through) so I can kind of relate to being down if you are looking for looking for someone to discuss basements, and mole people with.
