Cool upgrades for your Android

So what sort of armor upgrades are the cool kids installing in their Android upgrade slot? It looks like at character creation the best option available is a Quick-Release Sheath. Is that worth the credits, or should I save my money for some Jump Jets in a couple of levels?

Note that attacking more then once in a turn or using many class abilities such as Trick Attack are full actions. A full action replaces your standard, move, and swift actions for the turn. So you can't use a swift action on the same turn as a full action.
That also makes a lot of gear or abilities that are used as part of a move or swift action awkward. (The jury is still out on whether being allowed to move before making a trick attack allows things that can be used as part of a move action or move actions like Guarded Step.)

Since the sell back on gear is 10% I plan to save up for something I'll want my whole career.

Deflective Reinforcement lvl 7 gives you DR 5/-

Electrostatic Field varies gives you Resistance to electricity and deals damage when you are hit in melee.

Filtered Rebreather lvl 6 gives you resistance to acid and a bonus vs poison and disease.

Targeting Computer lvl 4 lets you ignore partial concealment.

Thermal Capacitor varies Grants protection from extreme temperatures and both cold and fire resistance. (I'll probably get this.)

I find myself wanting almost all armor upgrades, but only a few weapon fusions (I think that's odd. I'm less impressed by the weapon stuff compared to the armor stuff).

Whatever isn't used by my android slot, I'll try to squeeze into armor.

I'll probably go with Backup Generator until 5th level technomancer class feature to charge batteries with spell slots.

Instead of selling it back, I'll try to convince my DM to allow me to engineer it into a new device powered by a simple motor... or a 120volt outlet adapter, or something.

I like the looks of the Quick Release Sheath. Puts that small arm into your hand as a swift action.

Considering that you only get a standard or move action during a surprise round, but *can* take swift actions, it'll let you get the drop on someone if you get to go during a surprise round.

I may be biased though: I'm a huge fan of the Power Holster from the DeathWorld books by Harry Harrison.

I am going to make an Envoy Android that has speakers in his chest that blasts dubstep during battles to boost his team.

To be hones my characters would receive penalties rather then boosts frm dubstep
