Low templar alignment restrictions

I've been arguing with my GM saying LT doesn't have to be LG or CE he keeps trying to say it's implied because of light/dark redemption/damnation I tell him that all those mean is if you HAPPEN to have any of those alignment traits you benefit if not you don't and that if an alignment was require or if it caused a shift it would state. Please help!!!

never in the prerequisite for the prestige class put an alignment to take it, so you can be of any alignment you want.

path of light/path of darkness only say that you ''choose'' one side (LG or CE) and you can decide to forgo one of those restrictin alignment component for anything that rely on alignment EG: holy smite/unholy blight, holy weapon, anarchic weapon and the like

Perhaps the GM is thinking of something else. The Low Templar is that piece of crap templar that is fighting at the worldwound for money and fame, and doesn't really embrace the good or evil aspects of the fight. Perhaps they feel disillusioned, or perhaps they were just always a scumy person, but the fact of the matter is that they are helping to fight for the Golarion races in the worldwound, so us mortals can't afford to pick and choose only the non-scumbag champions for that battle because we really need anything we can get for that fight.
