Can someone use Eldritch heritage to qualify for fire music?

Silver Crusade

Say you were a flame dancer bard, and you wanted fire music to make all your spells fire based if you chose to do so, could you use arcane bloodline of improved eldritch heritage to get volcanic storm to qualify for fire music?

Volcanic Storm isn't on the Bard Spell List so you won't be able to use Bard Spell Slots to cast it. And if it did get added to your Bard Spell List then I don't think it would be a spell from another class anymore.

Improved Eldritch Heritage

The power of your discovered bloodline continues to grow.

Prerequisites: Cha 15, Eldritch Heritage, character level 11th.

Benefit: You gain either the 3rd-level or the 9th-level power (your choice) of the bloodline you selected with the Eldritch Heritage feat. For purposes of using that power, treat your sorcerer level as equal to your character level – 2, even if you have levels in sorcerer. You do not gain any of the other bloodline abilities.

Quote:
New Arcana (Ex): At 9th level, you can add any one spell from the sorcerer/wizard spell list to your list of spells known. This spell must be of a level that you are capable of casting. You can also add one additional spell at 13th level and 17th level.

Either way i guess it's a massive no.

Read the FAQ that I linked to. Adding it to your list of spells known does not add it to the Bard Spell List.

Wow then arcane bloodline is practically useless for bards.

This FAQ and the Paragon Surge FAQ were posted in July 2014. If I recall, it was to end the plague of Half-elf Schrodinger casters. Wish you had Fireball to take out that fire-vulnerable monster? Cast Paragon Surge, choose Improved Eldritch Heritage as your feat, and now you know Fireball. Ten minutes later you need Fly? Paragon Surge -> Improved Eldritch Heritage -> Fly. And so on. Those two FAQs eliminated that abusive strategy.

Note that the new flamesinger bard (from Elemental Master's Handbook) gains Fire Music for free at first level, and was designed to be fully stackable with flame dancer. ^_^

It's new to everyone. The book it's in is currently only available to subscribers, but it'll be available for purchase soon.

It looks like the pdf will be out on Thursday, and Isabelle Lee writes quality material that is worth waiting for.
