Drunken Monk of the Four Windy Mountains... Who's also a Vampire.

Advice

I was going to make a PC in my group's next campaign. He's a Vampire Monk and I decided to use 3 archetypes.

Monk of the Four Winds, Monk of the Iron(Sacred) Mountain, Drunken Master.

I was wondering if there was anything I should know before making him and any tips on what to do with him.

Wow first let me just say I am amazed those 3 archetypes can work together but as far as I can tell they don't step on each others toes.

question I have for you is can vampires drink alcohol? I'm pretty sure it would not have an effect on them. (auto pass fort saves) I know its popular lore that vampires can't eat or drink anything but blood. as far as raw goes I don't see anything saying you have to be drunk but you do have to drink. Of course once again by raw it doesn't say you can't drink if your a vampire. just seems super weird to me.

personally I like the idea of hungry ghost for vamp monk archetype.

I think they may have the ability to drink (If not I could mix Blood with Alcohol or drink an alcoholic's blood)
If they lack the ability I could be a dhampir.

And I'm going for a certain personality with this Monk. (He's a little bit of a stereotype)

I could see drinking alcoholic blood. makes it more interesting.

I have been notified by my DM that they can indeed get drunk (Somehow)
I'm just looking for ideas on how to use this character to his full potential. And I would like suggestions on any cool ideas.

Hmm if your going to use the vampires natural attack (which i think is legit) Feral combat training might help you.

You'll probably want a way of surviving sunlight, right? At the least an emergency scroll of protective penumbra & the UMD required to use it. You'll want charisma for hit points so it's not like investing in the stat is a waste.

The sacred mountain stuff wants you to start and end your turn in the same space. This means either reach, spring attack, or some means of stopping your enemy from taking 5' steps. Trip perhaps for that last, or scorpion style.

Thanks. Anything else?

Just because it stacks with everything, take Quingong archetype too. I don't know what you would replace (maybe something for bloodcrow strike? That seems thematic) because I don't know what you have left to trade, but boom 4 archetypes.

One more thought. While you could use feral combat training, a better option might be to use a conductive weapon if you're more pressed for feats than for gold. I don't know what you're starting with but that's certainly possible.

there's an item from way of the wicked its like 11k i think it gives permanent protection from sunlight

The conductive weapon idea is probably what I'm going to do. And I think I might already have the sunlight covered. If anyone has anymore thoughts or ideas it would be very appreciated.

I'm also seeking other ideas non-build related.
Just post them and again it would be very appreciated.

Ok. I have decided to scrap the 3 archetypes and choose Hungry Ghost Monk. I'll be using a conductive weapon.
Thank you for ideas.

HA defaulted to my idea. YEah it just seems so appropriate for a vamp.
