There will be an NPC caster (7th-9th level) with the party for an extended period of time. This dude is as slothful and lazy as the come. For him, magic is so he doesn't have to expend any effort himself. (His spells may be of some use to the party, but he won't be a primary contributor.)
I'm thinking that pretty much means sorcerer or oracle. He is too lazy to study for wizard or arcanist. Though I suppose maybe cleric since their spells are bestowed not learned. Is there a deity of sloth?
However, it seems like most of the spells that contribute to doing nothing are primarily arcane. But I could be wrong about that.
So I wanted to start a list of what spells strike you as the ones to be chosen by a lazy dude. Some are obvious.
mage hand
open/close
message
sift
unseen servant
ant haul
floating disk
secret chest
all of the +4 to ability score spells
charm person/monster
tiny hut
fly
levitate
air walk
mount
summon monster? many of them can do some work if he can communicate
the wall spells
What am I missing?

Mud Buddy and Web Shelter are good hour per level 2nd level spells. Mud Buddy's a visible servant with a Strength score, and Web Shelter's a lesser version of Rope Trick available to most caster classes.
Locate Object might be an amusing addition to ensure he can easily find stuff he drops. Can't be bothered looking for a pair of clean pants? Just cast a spell.
Speaking of which, Prestidigitation would be a must-have. Never bother washing yourself, just cast a spell. Don't bother trying to cook something that tastes good, just get your Unseen Servant to create some bland goop and cast a spell to turn it into a banquet.
Honestly, though, I'd expect the laziest of all lazy spellcasters would be a necromancer. Undead minions to do everything for you! Carry you around on a litter. Fight your battles for you. Set off traps for you. Go out and collect more corpses for you while you catch up on sleep.

One of the Thassilonian wizard specialties is Sloth. Specialise in conjuration, lose evocation and illusion.
But I think a magician bard might be better. Lots of spells to convince others to do stuff for him, he gets a few spells from other classes to cover gaps in the bard list, and in a fight he may not even bother casting spells if dweomercraft is enough.

Planar Binding->Air Elemental to serve as mount. Like riding on a cloud.
Secure Shelter because, unlike substitutes, it come with a bed.
Minor Creation to make food, rather than spend time preparing it. Then prestidigitation for flavoring.
Long Arm, for when you just can't be bothered to get out of bed and get your spell book.
Fog Cloud to help sleep by blotting out the sun.
Shrink Item, increases the size of your handy haversack 16fold if you have the time.
Endure Elements+Sleeves of Many Garments (item). Just wear a necklace that turns into illusory, be comfortable in most conditions and never deal with getting dressed again. Sure you are naked underneath, but isn't everyone else?
These are all tricks of my own Thassilonian Sloth Wizard

I can see this, but I don't want to chance this guy being that useful to the group. An even halfway decent necromancer could pretty easily outshine most of the party.
However, many types of caster could just cast animate dead to make some skeletal litter bearers. Hmm...
