Help with a mistake

Hello all,

So I searched around and saw similar threads which got advice so I wanted to see what suggestions this awesome community may have for me.

So I made a mistake. A oft-unplayed character of mine died in a scenario. Gold, gear and some charity were brought to bear and the character lived again. All was believed well.

Fast forward two chronicles when I went to purchase a new item and realized my gold was off. Traced the mistake back to the chronicle I died and realized that I had sold a wand of CLW as part of my cost of being ressed. Problem was I purchased that wand with prestige so it should have had a value of 0 gp. Oops.

So if I rewind time my character could not have been brought back to life unless I had a little bit more charity back when I died (the fellow players were gracious and gave me about 400 gp at the time). This is if I had sold everything I had (yes, all of it), which I didn't because I figured I was in the clear.

So now my character is two chronicles later and I am wondering if I should just cut them loose. The only issue with that is I have since assigned two chronicles to them. :/

Possible solutions:

1. Character is dead and gone, along with the two incorrectly-assigned chronicles.
2. Character is dead but the chronicles can be assigned elsewhere (only to another character which would have been appropriate at the time and is still in the correct range).
3. Character is not dead and all is well but I subtract another 50 gp from his current amount.
4. ?

Sounds like an honest mistake. I'd go with Option 3. Whatever gold you erroneously obtained from that wand, just deduct a like amount from the gold total on your latest Chronicle. Maybe make a notation on your ITS that the amount spent was to rectify an earlier accounting error.

I'd probably go with 3 as well. No need to punish you further for something the other players likely would have given to you, considering the value of a CLW wand.

So yeah, keep the wand, pay of the amount you gained from it now, and mark it on the chronicle what you used that money for.

Mark on your sheet which items you purchased with Prestige so as to not make this mistake again.

Clearly you go with option 3. You made an honest mistake, this is the easiest way to deal with it

Agree with the others, honest mistake, option 3 and I suggest listing the PP cost as price on your ITS ^^

The character should definitely not be dead.

Personally I would sell something that your character owned at the time to legally cover the gap. Option 3 is good as well. Your call.
