Are you looking for combat buffs for your friends (or self), or are you looking for useful out-of-combat spells? That's generally what I think of when I hear the word "utility"
1st level: silent image, disguise self, unseen servant, charm person (make friends, interrogate people), mount (transport, meat shield, explorer for traps)
(Unless you're planning to do a LOT with undead, I wouldn't take repair undead as it's very situational, only useful on rare occasions -- generally sorcerors have so few spells known that I prefer to take spells that are widely useful in a range of different situations)
2nd level: blindness/deafness (really good at shutting down anything with poor Fort saves, like, oh, enemy wizards or rogues), resist energy (lots of things use energy against you), detect thoughts (really good for interrogations), false life (good to keep yourself alive -- you don't have enough defensive spells), darkvision (good to cast on a party scout or to help operate when the lights are out)
3rd level: dispel magic, major image, summon monster III, magic circle (really good long-lasting protection -- casting out of combat really helps action economy), clairaudience/clairvoyance (really good scouting), heroism (serious buff, on skills and attacks), suggestion (so good at misdirecting enemies or getting people to do what you want), daylight (very handy against enemies with darkness spells)
4th level: dimension door (bypass lots of obstacles), summon monster IV, arcane eye (short-range scouting) or scrying (long-range scouting)

Mount is probably your best low-level long-distance travelling spell. Fly and dimension door are short-range stuff. When you get fifth level spells either overland flight or teleport will make travel very easy.
Command undead is very powerful for making any undead you encounter into your minions but it won't help you create any in the first place.
Animate dead, lesser is a 3rd level sorc/wiz spell (2nd level for clerics) that lets you create some lower-level undead; you can swap it out later once you get animate dead.
