Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

So I looked through the Internet to find an answer for my small but awesome problem but I have come up empty. So I turn to the good people of the forums!

Here is the story, I'm working on making a new character for a sandbox playthrough which has a lot of monster hunter in it. Monsters ranging from vampires and demons to dragons and giants. My character idea is to have someone that could climb and ride or attack these creatures if they are big enough like in Shadow of Colossus or Monster hunter generations. In Monster hunter the hunter jumps on from a high place and stabs the monster till it bucks him off. Finally my question, how would I go about gearing a character to be able to something as insane and crazy as this. I understand the kaiju rules apply for somethings but what about riding say a dragon after you climb it. The riding rules say you control it once you make a ride check but that doesn't make since if you were just fighting the creature.

TL;DR
Need rules for climbing, holding on to, and striking a creature. + how the Ride check works for mounting an enemy mid-combat.

There are some specific archetypes, a rogue one in particular, that come to mind.

But in general there are no rules that allow a character to generically do this. You would have to choose to be one of the archetypes that allows this.

I can only think of the one at this time, so maybe someone else can help provide you with the others.

That sort of thing is a part of the whole "combat is an abstraction" stuff, but I know that's not the answer you're looking for.

There's a feat I'm sure of in 3.5 complete warrior that allows you to climb on enemies much larger than you if they miss an attack against you, but I really wish I could remember the name.

You don't want to deal with Kaiju subtyped creatures, for that, lol.

Giantbane, from Complete Warrior. It was a bit 'meh' for my liking.

All your help has been grateful but sadly yes I'm still looking for something more concrete. I might have to just wing it and hope for the best. My Gm doesn't mind things out of the box like this, in fact he rewards it. However I was hoping to have at least something to go on to make the ruling easier for him. So again thank you all. My quest moves onward!
