Can you benefit from 2 abilities that give you 1 / 2 your level to the same check?

So I have a character concept but I am not 100% sure if the bonuses stack.So I will get 1/2 my class level to knowledge checks.

Cavalier (Disciple of the Pike)
Monster Hunter - At 4th level, a disciple of the pike has an uncanny ability to identify monsters. He can attempt Knowledge checks untrained to identify monsters and their weaknesses, and gains a bonus equal to half of his cavalier level on knowledge checks to identify monsters.

Order of the Hero (Cavalier Order)
Skills - An Order of the Hero adds Knowledge (arcana)(Int) and Knowledge (nature)(Int) to his list of class skills. In addition whenever an order of the hero cavalier uses a Knowledge check to deny a monster, he gains a bonus on this check equal to half of his cavalier level (minimum +1)

They both come out of the same Players Companion. It seems like the 2 were made for each other. I am not sure if they stack. If they don't stack where would it state that these don't stack. Just for reference?

Both are untyped and both are from separate sources, so they would stack.

Awesome thank you. I had a feeling they would. But I wanted to make sure for my character.

There's no rule that levels count as a source in the way that ability scores do for the purposes of stacking. Some dev said they were still deciding about this, and that was quite a while back.

both untypes, both different source, they sure would stack.

however, if you want to scratch it, I'd say that @level 5, you only gain +4 bonus (both abilities being rounded down)

Well a dirge bard has bardic knowledge as a standard bard (add half your level to knowledge checks) and gets this as well "Secrets of the Grave (Ex): At 2nd level, a dirge bard gains a bonus equal to half his bard level on Knowledge (religion) checks made to identify undead creatures and their abilities."

If the two don't stack then it was a pretty stupid waste of wordcount to give the archetype this ability.

It's one of the byproducts of not having clear rules. Freelancers assume both ways and when you come down with a stance you either need to retcon stuff, or grandfather in stuff.

Which is probably why they never came out with a rule against it. It's too much of a headache.
