Hello All
I have been asked to step outside my normality for the group I am in. I typically play only classes with spells. Usually full casters but if I land the position of the front line I tend to still grab a class with spells. Bloodrager, Hunter, Ranger, Paladin or Magus usually is my go to for the melee builds.
But this time I have been asked to play something I would think is fun but is not in my normal list of classes I play. I have chosen the Brawler. I have always loved how much Versatility the Martial Flexibility brings to my Hunter builds and was looking to explore that more in Depth.
Here are the Creation Restrictions:
25 Point buy
Max HP first 3 levels, Average after
Starting Level 7 should only go to level 12-13 max.
Average WBL
No 3pp, Paizo Only
Here is what I want in the Character:
Lots of Martial Flexibility Choices
Unarmed Damage (Sub par I know)
Decent AC (I do not need Crane style crazy AC levels as I do not want to be fully optimized...more like 60-70% optimized to keep the power levels inline with other players at the table)
Now I have been told that these Feats will open up most of the Combat Feats in Pathfinder.
Power Attack
Combat Expertise or Dirty Fighting
Weapon Focus
Dodge and Mobility
Combat Reflexes
Now a question: Combat Expertise Verse Dirty Fighting which is superior choice?
Another Question:
1-2 Levels of MoMS monk. Would this be worth it to be able to fuse Style feats when I need to use 2 at a single time. Evasion also comes with a 2 level dip. Wisdom to AC on a 25 point buy is it worth it or should I just look to Armor with Brawling. Stunning Fist and Fuse style are the main Draws I see here. Overall would it make me stronger or weaker? Is Straight Brawler a better option.
Looking to the Folks with more Martial Experience around here for help and suggestion.
Thanks in Advance.

Aside from combat maneuver feats here are some feats I have found useful. Usually I prefer dirty fighting over combat expertise as it will likely cover more of the feats but you already have half of what it offers UAS and ignoring INT so I would just go with combat expertise. You can make a list a see what give you more options though. Depending on your plan Combat Style Master (Combat) may be better for you than dipping. Obviously works best if you have an offensive feat line (dragon style or pummeling style) and a defensive one. I do find that Unchained Barb works well as a one level dip here as furious helps the amulet enchantment a lot. The other, if you don't mind playing an Ulfen is Ulfen Guard, with one level you get rage and a rage power several are nice for combat maneuvers.
- Disruptive
- Lunge
- Death from Above
- Blind Fight
- Gang up
- Improved Initiative
- Dedicated Adversary
- Bludgeoner
- Intimidating Prowess
- Intercept Charge
- Pushing Assault
- Rat Catcher
- Pin Down
- Ghostslayer
- Soulblade
- Soul Wrecking Strike
- Caster's Champion
- Weapon Versatility
- Horn of the criosphinx
- Branch Pounce
- Arcane Vendetta
- Stunning Irruption (Combat)
Some of these are not good feats but ones I used for fun/RP ie caster champion.

Brawling armor is super expensive since it's a +3 equivalent armor enhancement (15,000 at the cheapest) and will also cut into your AC a good amount (AC is stuck at +1 enhancement and would then cost 9,000 to get another 1 AC from armor).
Actually my group is using the +1 pricing for the Brawling armor. Never was a problem as a +1 enchant and we do not mirror every change. So it is still on the table for this group. But I am aware of the change to a +3 but most +3 enchants like you said tend to not be worth it gold wise and hurts the overall AC. Normally I just get +1 ______ Armors and use Magic Vestment to boost my AC but since I will not be a spell caster that is not an option and I will have to use the old fashioned methods of AC grabbing each upgrade based on Gold expenses.

I see a few feats I was using on my Hunter/Wild child build. I enjoyed the Stunning Irruption and Improved Initiative for entering fights like the cool aid man. I see a few Feats there I have used and a couple I am unfamiliar with and will be looking into.
As far as RP flavor the Character would be too calm and Lawful for a Barbarian dip. The Character will have a Bruce Lee like Philosophy and will be working towards self perfection as a fighter and creating her own art. So flying into a uncontrolled rage does not really suit the RP style of this character. The Monk levels would fit but are not necessary at all. I do want Human or Half Elf (just got done with a Half Orc). But chances are it will be human. Most the group is Core Races Minus the Goblin who pretends he is a Gnome in disguise.

Been playing around with Brawler as a villain, it was pretty fun experimenting with the Close weapon group and the Brawler's mastery. Wushu Dart was especially nice as it allowed using Brawler's unarmed damage (4 levels lower) and Tekko-Kagi since it could function as a weapon, buckler and allowed disarming without provoking AoO.

I was looking for a ranged option and think I will either carry a Sling and pick up Rapid Reload and Deadly aim via Flexibility.
Is the Wushu Dart a better weapon? I am still looking for the ranged weapon for those rare instances I will need it.

I will go with Combat Expertise cause yes I already meet many of the Pre-Reqs.
Do you have skill recommendations for meeting Pre-Reqs?
It looks like I have 1 extra feat after covering most the Pre-reqs. I'm having trouble deciding between: Extra Martial Flexibility, Toughness, Iron will, Weapon Specialization. Any Recommendations?

I like the dan bong or or wooden stakes options as well for ranged weapons. Dan Bong would be my choice over all.
Grab quick draw and point blank shot. Someone might have a clever way to grabing ricochet toss.
Some of the ones I posted have Knowledge religion 1 and or perception 1. I have not come accross too many with skill pre reqs more are stat and BAB.
I have never run out of martial flexibility, your on a 25 point buy so I assume you have good con with your FCB you should be able to skip Toughness, you have Weapon Focus so you can flex into Weapon Spec if you need to. That leaves Iron Will which would be my choice my moto is "if you think you need Iron Will you definatly need Iron will."
