Rahter sad, It was an Idea for Having a drake Companion that would function as the characters advicer outside of combat and would burrow into the ground when combat took place and have either a mauler or improved familiar(Fairy dragon or Dragon tidepool) join the battle instead of it.
The 7 years to get back the drake = not worth risking it on the frontline especially if multiclassing and it never getting larger than medium sized.
Would have been fun to eventually turn into form of the dragon 2 and be Large sized have my mentor the drake medium sized and his familar a tiny dragon tidepool.
Looking through the feats for outside of combat utility I was rather disappointed in the lack of interesting options for a knowledge based companion. And with a friend suggesting this path there might actualy be a way to play this, however might be wacky in society due to keeping track of do i keep the drake out of combat or not, where a local gm should have an easier time keeping an eye on it.
At the very least i would share a language with the dragon tidepool and having it's master my ally we should be able to work together might be more complicated with the mauler

The answer is explicitly yes, you may do what you suggest. But you have to choose which one of your pets gets used in combat and the rest are 'inactive' for combat for the whole session.
"Class Feature Entity: Any permanent companion creature (e.g. animal companion, eidolon, familiar, mount, phantom, etc.) that accompanies the PC, can take its own actions in combat, and is acquired through a PC’s class features is referred to as a class feature entity. In the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild, a character may have only one class feature entity active during a session. See the FAQ for more information on interactions between familiars and other class feature entities. See the Pathfinder Society FAQ at paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/faq for information about what magic items such creatures can use."
And
"How many animals can I have at any given time?
During the course of a scenario, you may have one combat animal and as many noncombat animals as you like. Noncombat animals (ponies, horses, pet dogs, and so on) cannot participate in combat at all. If you have so many noncombat animals that their presence is slowing a session down, the GM has the right to ask you to select one noncombat animal and leave the rest behind. A summoner's eidolon is considered an animal companion for the purposes of counting combat and noncombat animals. If you have more than one class-granted animal companion (or eidolon), you must choose which will be considered the combat animal at the start of the scenario. In general, a mount, a familiar or mundane pet, and your class-granted animal(s) are acceptable, but more than that can be disruptive."

What amount of control would I then have over my companions familiar?
I assume it would be next to none over a mauler, but with a dragon tidepool I could communicate with it much easier and it should be able to know it serves me and it's master.
I'll try and go for either the dragon tidepool, fairy dragon or Shadow drake(though this one would be complicated, since my drake companion would have to be NE or LE, don't know if companions are allowed that allignment in PFS or if they got the same allignment restriction as players.

The mauler archetype does not introduce any new issues in regards to control than any other archetype.
Also, all your drake would have to do is say, "Follow his orders as if they were mine." Done.
Of course, a tidepool dragon is an improved familiar and thus can't even be a mauler anyway.
