Dragons?

Advice

Hello forum im looking for the Adventure path that has the most dragons in it does anyone know?

Sovereign Court

My guess would be Runelords

Really?

I don't know details about any other Adventure Paths, but from the top of my head, here's a list of Runelord's dragons (Anniversary Edition).

Spoiler:
- One strong red dragon at the start of Book 4. Could be avoided, depending on how everything plays out.
- Two weak-ish red dragons near the end of Book 4. Basically not much more than big brute type enemies. Still dangerous because of combat conditions. Can be avoided.
- One very strong White Dragon early-sh in book 5. Pretty much guaranteed encounter.
- One very strong Blue(?) Dragon in the middle of book 6. Almost unavoidable if the GM wants it to be.
- One decently strong Blue Dragon as meatshield for the BBEG in the very final battle of the AP.

I might be forgetting one, but I don't think so.

hord of the dragon queen from 5e i think its primarily kobolds and dragons i think would need to be converted into pathfinder tho

1 person marked this as a favorite.

you're forgetting the rusty dragon that plays a prominent role in the 1st few books - the inn in sandpoint

Reign of Winter has lots of Dragons in the 4th book, and one in book 2, another as a random encounter in book 3, one in book 5, and another in book 6. (Not all of them true dragons)

Wrath of the righteous has plenty of dragons and also drakes

WotR Dragons:
1st scene of 1st part there's an ancient silver dragon killed by a massive demon
Book 3 has Drake Riders on Rift Drakes and a frost drake
Book 3 also has a Woundwyrm (Huge Dragon)
Book 4 has an entropic old umbral dragon
Book 6 has the same dragon that was killed in Book 1, now as a Ravener
Book 6 also has Fiendish Ancient Black Dragons
Also In the Random encounters there's a few dragon encounters possible

So without the drakes (and random encounters) that's the same amount as runelords, but drakes are technically dragons so they should count

Yap, alot of them in book 4. Most of true dragons are white. You can miss most of them, depending on your choices.

Reign of Winter dragons:

Book 1: tatzylwurm encounter and animated object ice dragon in Pale Tower courtyard.
Book 2: Logrivich, captain of the Guard, young adult white dragon
Book 3: great white wyrm, ruler of enemy centaur tribes, can come up as random, or you can go looking for him, although you'll probably die. Several frost drakes.
Book 4: lots of frost drakes, lots of dragonkin of all types, and a very old white dragon warlord Yrax.
Book 5: A gorynych in disguise.
Book 6: not there yet so don't know.

Curse of the Crimson Throne has 2 scripted dragon encounters, plus an extremely difficult dragon that shows up if the party royally screws up the last encounter.

CotCT Dargons:

Book 5 has an Umbral Dragon as a major boss in Scarwall, and in both versions of the AP he has to be killed to complete the party's quest.
Book 6 has a black dragon used as a mount by the head of the Gray Maidens.

The dragon that shows up after the last encounter of book 6 is none other than Kazavon himself

Certainly not the most, but Giantslayer has a noticeable amount of dragons. It actually recommends them as a secondary Favored Enemy for Rangers in the Player Guide.

Sovereign Court

If we're talking about non-Golarion AP's, then I would say Age of Worms for sure. Dozens of dragons in that one.
