So, I'm wanting to create an that is working towards becoming a lich for my GM's custom campaign. I was looking through the curses for oracles and noticed the lich curse where it says, "You have (unknowingly) fulfilled most (but not all) of the ritualistic components to achieve lichdom. You have yet to turn into an undead creature, but you are close." Would this make it easier for my character to become a lich or is that just there for roleplaying purposes or something?

The exact methods for each spellcaster's transformation are left to the GM's discretion, but should involve expenditures of hundreds of thousands of gold pieces, numerous deadly adventures, and a large number of difficult skill checks over the course of months, years, or decades.
The process of achieving lichdom is intentionally vague, so the only rules answer I can give is: Ask your GM!
In my own games I would rule that yes, this curse would ease the process, but would still require you reach 11th level and make your own phylactery.

Hmm, becoming a Lich is individualized (read, up to the fluff of the campaign and the gm's sayso) unless you use that ritual from the occult classes book.
That being said, if you are going to pull the trigger and become a lich i would personally say you have to do it before you hit level 15 and become immune to death effects

I'd take the Black Blooded Oracle archetype (Inner Sea Magic) if looking for an Oracle that would become a lich later on. This curse is well written for characters that intend to become undead later, as it does address how an undead character with this curse functions in relation to the curse.
It also grants extra mystery options, which can be nice if you select a mystery that doesn't enough good choices.
