Hi all,
To the surprise of no one, Legendary Games will be creating a Starfinder-compatible version of our epic interplanetary adventure path, Legendary Planet!
The question then, of course, is what else you'd love to see from the Legendary library updated to Starfinder rules, and what kinds of new products you'd like to see coming your way!

I'd love to see AP plug ins for the first adventure path. Especially as it comes out every other month.
Mythic adapted to Starfinder, as you guys are one of the remaining holders of the Mythic torch. Maybe Luke's use of the force and his piloting were not all that grand - maybe his X-wing was a mythic starship.
Mecha.
Lots of Planets / systems.
The last two I want to see from every 3PP though.

Looking at this from a GM's point of view, my main concern is "what do I put there?"
The players are going to land >>THERE<< What the hell is there?
Now, if this was a fantasy based campaign, I have a vast amount of material to draw upon. In a Pathfinder game, I have 110+ AP volumes, A bajillion modules set in Golarion and a veritable horde of PFS scenarios. And then with all the world setting material -- I have an answer. I have dozens if not HUNDREDS of potential answers to this issue.
And even if I didn't have all that material at my disposal, I have a vast amount of material from earlier incarnations of the game across multiple editions. So if I need a village, I have 40+ years of material to draw upon and much of it is going to work.
Fast Forward to a SciFant setting...
I now have a LOT less material. By tens of THOUSANDS of pages less. I am scrambling for what's there. What a village with a spaceport has. What a village WITHOUT one has. What a city offers. Who might be in it. What kind of races, etc.
And drawing upon previous incarnations of material is not as easy. Traveller material, never known much for its detail in the first place, presumes a very different setting and milieu. It's difficult to draw upon and the maps and personalities we could plop down if this was a fantasy setting is not there to even remotely the same degree.
I guess I will go dredge up Dragonstar and the material it offered as probably the most immediately useful, but I fear that I am going to be caught winging all of this WAY more than I would like.
In a FRPG, this sort of material is not in demand because we have so much of it. Decades of it; sedimentary layers of it. In a game like Starfinder? We would seem to be very much at sea.
It's more than a little troubling, frankly. So more than anything else? I'd like to see material that throws me a life line to draw upon throughout running Dead Suns.
And what exactly THAT will prove to be is also difficult to determine.
I'm flying through the mountains at night without radar!??
"Never tell me the odds" ...but that's because I already know I'm about to hit a mountain.

As Steel_Wind points out, one problem that Starfinder will have initially is a relative scarcity of adventure supplements (either in a "rip-off" of Paizo's setting or in Legendary Games's own). This will improve as the game goes on, but initially, this will be a non-trivial problem.

We'll certainly have adventures ready for Starfinder, both Legendary Planet and some of our other adventures that could easily fit in with a Starfinder milieu based on their thematics and setting. I'm thinking particularly of Starfall, Scorpions of Perdition, and Under Frozen Stars off the top of my head.
Planetary supplements as drop-ins are certainly an easy plug-and-play product, and as we build out the Legendary Planet-verse those are something we'll be working on too.

AP Plug-Ins were our original product line, and I can certainly see us adding supplements for that adventure line.
Mythic Starfinder is also certainly on the agenda. :)

Woohoo!! I was trying to think of things that seemed to be in your wheelhouse, so to speak.

Here is an interesting speculation.
Paizo is moving slowly with Starfinder, because the believe (based on prior market experience) that the potential market is smaller. If Paizo is right, then coming out with too much material would be just as bad as not enough.
This is one of the reasons why I was suggesting adventures, but ... what sells better?

It's an open question. In *most* cases, adventures sell less well than player-focused supplements like class books, but sometimes adventures will catch on and sell very well.
Starfinder is in a funny spot, because as people have said it is a new game and people will take some time to try out the existing new official rules options for classes, races, etc., which may dampen their enthusiasm for new options of those kinds. Other people may be hungry for more, More, MORE!
There's no way to know for sure because even the players themselves don't know at this point.

Themed books of short adventures based around particular types of activity, with the type of ship that the PCs have being the basis for the theme. A book with an introduction, a couple of pages describing the ship involved, a few (3-4) pages mapping and describing the region, then a number of short adventures (only one or two encounters/situations) at different locations which the GM could flesh out or drop into a larger campaign that are appropriate for the crew of that sort of ship, and a section at the end with local rumours and single paragraph descriptions of other things that are happening in the area that are appropriate for other types of ship/groups.
Then link them across the line so that the Free Trader Adventures book has a pirate encounter, leading into a search for the pirate base in a Scout Adventures book and a raid on the pirate base in the Starmerc Adventures book. If each book has a slightly different region, with a main planet/base that stays in common, you can start to build a setting that way without having to start with a major book.

Yes! I used all your extra content in the pirates ap and the horror ap, we really enjoyed playing those, I am really looking forward for some extra in the winter campaign, I also bought all the extras for the "metal gods" campaign and I am really looking forward to use them.

Various kinds of space stations, like ...
Neutral check-points between hostile/unfriendly powers.
Neutral medical centres who will treat anyone and tell no-one the details. (Like Sector General, or Polis Massa.)
Black markets (and worse).
Homes to various nomadic groups. (Does the station itself move once in a while? Have they lost their planet, and this is their only home now?)
Orbital defence platforms and/or orbital bombardment platforms.
Shipyards.
Organic space station. (Does not have to be run by elves.)
Mobile space fleet headquarters.
Prison. (Political prisoners, reguarl criminals, worst-of-the-worst, unthinkably dangerous creatures/entities.)
Zoo station. (Or former zoo station, until something got loose ...)
Experimental research station. Or one where "the nanites" got loose, gained sentience, and took over ... and maybe now run the place as a repair centre known for top-notch work.
Ancient ruined/abandoned space station under archaeological investigation.
Tourist traps of various sorts, with "ethnic" bazaars selling cheap knock-offs and "ethnic" restaurants selling barely edible food.
VR and/or spa holiday retreats.
Stellar weather observation posts. (On a less serious note, I'm suddenly reminded of Doctor Who's "end of the world" space station, located by the original Earth, where the Ninth Doctor and Rose met the Face of Boe, etc.)
Secret school/academy/university. Technomages? Local equivalent of Jedi (or Sith) in a region hostile to them?
Hidden super-weapon. ("That's not a moon!")

For me, I'd much rather see "campaign setting" stuff come out first. Because Starfinder will be so barren at first, the more locations and groups the better.
New planets, new empires.... Fill out the 'Verse.
I'm not so much concerned about classes at the start. I need more ideas for what all is out there.

Will the Legendary Planet AP story be changed as well so it includes starships and starship combat?
I can't speak for the APs, but I am adding a starship combat scene to the beginning of the Starfinder version of Starfall.

Will the Legendary Planet AP story be changed as well so it includes starships and starship combat?
The original plan was to always steer away from starships, per se, in Legendary Planet and keep the action focused on the planets rather than downtime on a starship or ship-to-ship combat where not everyone has a chance to do very much or contribute (i.e., mostly just a pilot/gunner and that's about it). Jason always wanted to find a way to synergize with Starfinder, if possible. I've mostly left that effort to him. And, we've always told everyone if they want to throw starships into their Legendary Planet AP alongside the gates we use between worlds, that's up to them. It's their game and they should run it how they want. Storywise, however, there really wasn't any effort expended toward creating starships for the PCs to use. There are some vehicles, however, that use the gates to travel between worlds.
Hope that helps,
--Neil

Humanoid-esque robots that convert into vehicles and other similar machines. Bonus if there's rules for partners that turn into their heads and/or weapons.
And yes, I plan on posting this or something similar in every thread I see that asks this question. :P

Awesome to hear. As a matter of fact, we are waiting on a last few pieces of art for the next adventure plug-in for the Winter line, The Horseshoe Calamity by Ron Lundeen!

Ha, totally!
There are a few spacecraft in the core Legendary Planet AP, but they are the exception rather than the rule. There's no reason you can't easily incorporate them into the setting, though, and only in one case (The Scavenged Codex) would it significantly alter the storyline, but that occurs early enough in the AP that PCs wouldn't necessarily have a very potent spacecraft, and you could easily come up with a narrative reason why their low-grade hauler (and even higher-grade ships) could not reach that planet due to some kind of astronomical phenomenon.

I am really looking forward to playing a campaign where the main character, from the pact worlds, stumbles on to these - and gives/sells drift technology to a group she feels is worthy, and then finding a way to get gate tech back to the Pact. Then spend the rest of the game running from one faction or another that either want to kill her, steal her knowledge/tech or saint her.

That sounds pretty entertaining!

I'm looking forward to Starfinder using the Legendary Planet setting. Hope the setting gets more fluff :)
There is a ton of fluff coming, including our Legendary Worlds product line, available now for Pathfinder (check out the first two here) and soon for Starfinder (and 5E too)!

Almost lost in the shuffle of yesterday's big ALIEN BESTIARY Kickstarter announcement was the release of the latest Starfinder supplement from Legendary Games, the small but spectacular Legendary Planet Player's Guide!
This 19-page PDF is just $2.99, and even if you're not running the full AP it comes with four fantastic playable alien racers - the clockwork cyborg auttaine, the chlorvian plant-people, the four-armed mystic tretharri, and the winged reptilian zvarr!
If you *are* playing Legendary Planet (and you totally should), it's jam-packed with information on races, classes, religion, and culture in the campaign, as well as a dozen delightful campaign traits to connect your character to the campaign world but without giving too much away!
PLUS, speaking of the Alien Bestiary, some of the special attractions in that project are the marvelous and menacing inhabitants of the Aethera Campaign Setting, from aether-touched infused and verdant symbionts to cantors, phalanx, and killer kytons! With Kickstarter fulfillment sailing to a close on the wings of international post, the hardback is now available all over the place, and it's the featured product in this week's Paizo store blog!
