So, I'm a big fan of the witch class. The first time I made a witch I went with human, but I've been thinking about rolling up a second, non-human witch; I've seen lots of recommendations that elves are a good race to play because of their alternate racial ability Dreamspeaker which may add to the DC of the slumber hex . . .
. . . the problem is that it also may NOT add to the DC of the slumber hex; there seems to be some debate, and a lot of advice to "check with your DM first," which obviously isn't possible in society play.
So, what is the general consensus on this? Is going with an elven Dreamspeaker likely to cause problems in society play, or will I likely be good to go? I don't want to cause problems, which is the reason I made my first witch human, but I really would like to play a non-human character.
If a Dreamspeaker witch is likely to cause problems, I'll probably just sit on my wild urges for a non-human witch and hope that "Keen Kitsune" is ruled as legal for PFS.

Dreamspeaker: A few elves have the ability to tap into the power of sleep, dreams, and prescient reverie. Elves with this racial trait add +1 to the saving throw DCs of spells of the divination school and sleep effects they cast. In addition, elves with Charisma scores of 15 or higher may use dream once per day as a spell-like ability (caster level is equal to the elf's character level). This racial trait replaces elven immunities.
I'd say it works on Slumber Hex.

And I think your question has been answered. Expect table variation.
But I don't see this particular variation as a big deal. So, with some GMs your DC will be one higher than with other GMs. That takes 10 seconds to cover at the beginning of the game and, in either case, your character is good to go.
