I want to try to build a character that uses Implant Bomb and creatures under my own command. Sadly, i need Delayed Bomb discovery, which is at earliest an 8th Lvl discovery, which means Implant Bomb is at earliest- a 9th lvl feat. :( Still going to try
So, the top two ideas i had were an Preservationist, and implant bombs in my "Nature's Ally"
~or~
Multiclass/dip into a spellcasting class, that has the ability to spontaneous cast Summons, i was thinking Arcanist or even Umbral Summoner Mesmerist.
Pretty much, i want to use my willingly expendable summons to blow up upon command or death, and serve as distractions.
Build ideas are entirely open, though this may become a PFS character or atleast one in a home game.
So, what are peoples ideas for such a build? I like the Umbral Summoner for the "3+Cha Shadow Minions" per day. Arcanist could possibly be used to increase my own Formulae book.

Okay, the shenaniganery is pretty much impossible with any sort of summoning. why? implanting the bomb takes an hour, and i don't think summoned monsters last that long.
I could gyp the system and get a Tumor Familiar with the Figment Archetype and just send him out on recon.
Ah well, the Preservationist seems like an interesting archetype. I may look into building one, but that won't be for a long while.
I could look into creating a Reanimator for the purposes of Implant Bomb, but that's moot with the lower bomb damage.

Hmm, I wonder if the Breath Weapon Bomb could be used. Then when the target was destroyed, the bomb blast was a 15-foot cone (the first square including the target's square.)
If acceptable, it could be ruled that the dying creature determines the direction they are looking as they die (usually the case.) Although, in cases of being killed/destroyed in surprise or while flat-footed the GM might have to determine the direction, possibly at random.
Again, if acceptable, that would make a lot more bomb choices valid for Implant Bomb too, since some only work on direct hits, which typically the explosion isn't (just detonating in the target's square.) This means a Cursed Bomb could be used, since anyone in the cone radius is considered to be a direct hit.
It would also work well with a Boneshard Bomb, since that would greatly increase the piercing damage (since splash is always minimum) and since a direct hit causes 1d4 Bleed and anyone dying from the bomb or the bleed rises as a skeleton (apparently under your control, since it mentions that they count against your undead control HD.) That would mean you have to potential to just replace any destroyed undead with new skeletons and any existing skeletal minions wouldn't take much damage from the piercing anyway if they were caught in the blast of an exploding companion.
