Desecrate spell as a sorcerer

Advice

Hi guys, I'm playing as a 10th level sorcerer wannabe-necromancer. I know the class isn't the best choice, but our group is non-optimized. We use only the core manual, and the first bestiary.
I discovered the usefulness of desecrate spell when casting animate dead, but it's not on the sorcerer list of spells, so I want to compare the available options to use it anyway.
If I'm right, scrolls and wands require a use magic device check, and the wand should be the lowest.
Is it possible to create desecrate wands, since the spell has a material cost?
Are there other more practical ways to use this spell that I am not aware of? Maybe some magical item, or a summoned minion that can cast this spell?

A little side question: any cheap way (or a sorcerer spell) to carry my big undeads around? I don't think they would be accepted in towns and they're not the best traveling companions, but since they're permanent I dont want to lose them.

Thanks for the attention!

A wand with an expensive material component costs the standard price + 50*material cost. So desecrate would be 4500 + 50*50 = 7000 gp as a wand. Similarly a scroll would cost 150 + 50 = 200 gp.

Maybe you could hide them in a rope trick outside of town? And/or get some wagons and hide them inside for travelling purposes. Probably best not to take wagons loaded with undead into town in case someone checks your cargo for smuggled goods.

If you can get a half-fiend creature with 3+ HD on your side they can cast desecrate as a spell-lika ability without needing a material component. An evil cleric of 3rd level or higher working for you does need the material component but might be easier to find. I'm not aware of any other means with the books you're using.

Thank you, you've been very helpful :)

Raziman Preist Archetype is the answer to your prays. Big bonuses to umd, trade eschew materials for false focus(some free undead making), and lets you use spellslots to power divine scrolls. Darkskull is the expensive continous desecrate item. It is overpriced and not really worth it in most cases. A wand is much cheaper and serves your purposes much better.

Depends if your dm thinks they count as objects. If so shrink object is your best bet. If you are returning repeatedly to the same town and have a place of residence having the undead dig a tunnel to your basement is a good idea. Many larger towns have underground sewer systems that would be a great hiding spot. Especially sense practicality demands they have an opening away from the town. If you have a druid in your party there is a 3rd level spell Hide Campsite that lasts a while. It is also a lv2 ranger spell. If they aren't too big or can be disassembled a wagon with chests and wardrobes is an effective carrying system. If you can aquire the proper holy robes it might be quite believable to have them play dead either in the back of a cart or in coffins. After all the dead do sometimes need to be transported(IE soldiers).

What you want is a voidstick. It creates a 20ft radius of desecrate, which you could then use to make undead.

The voidstick can also make undead on their own, but don't use it for that.
